This custom wine cellar consisted of roasted/oiled walnut millwork to house wine bottles, wood cases, stemware and even the cooling system. Metal wall-mounted Vintage View wine racks were installed at the sides of he room for design interest and additional storage capacity. Individually-lit niches in the rock wall provided a beautiful design feature, easily visible through the frameless glass front wall. All lighting used within the cooled wine cellar environment was LED so that no heat was emitted. This custom wine wall is located just outside the kitchen area and to the right of the living room. Overhead LED lights and clear acrylic shelves brightly display our client's extensive wine collection. The french glass doors are 4'x8', 1/2" tempered glass and the large brass pulls match the ones on the fridge and freezer in the kitchen. Photography by Marie-Dominique Verdier.

Our homeowner wanted a hidden entrance to his personal wine cellar for a few reasons: He wanted something that was different than would usually see, he wanted to have his entire collection at home, rather than in a storage facility, and he thought it was a cool idea.

A multi room space dedicated to the full wine experience. An ornamental iron gate welcomes guests through a rustic stone hallway with recessed niches and reclaimed brick arched ceiling. An ante room with Venetian plaster walls and mahogany T&G ceiling, perfect for wine decanting and hors d'oeuvres, is adjacent to the wine cellar of Cambara Mahogany wine racking and millwork with soapstone counter. A large octagonal tasting room featuring walls of New England Fieldstone and a mahogany T&G ceiling accentuated with mahogany beams. Stunning!
