Smart Doors and Gates

Phoned Smart Doors about a garage door because the chain kept detaching. They said motor replacement may be needed and would cost $550 so the OK was given to proceed if needed. A new motor was needed. However, during installation a spring broke and replacement would cost $440 despite the fact that the repairer was on site and the damage happened when he was there. I sent an email that requested a reduction of the bill in consideration of the above. R from Smart Door sent an email requesting I phone them. I did and she was not going to move on the price. So I asked what the parts and labor components were in the price. She refused, but said a director would phone me. The director did and also refused to detail the parts and labor charges or give any reduction to the bill. We are installing two single door remote openers this year and having a large double door repaired. My experience with Smart Doors has been very upsetting and they will not be getting my future business. A bit of care, understanding and fairness goes a long way.

I had a completely bad experience using this firm . 1- very poor communication to his suggested contractors. 2. Timeframe on installation was appalling. 3 months 3. The electronic gate wheel become dislodged on the first week . I would strongly advise to make sure that you have an installation foreman present at all times to oversee the fit
