In Deep Ecology, all living things and components of our environments are valued and respected for themselves, beyond their relevance for human use. All have roles within our Earth′s biosphere. With 40+ years of experience and study, Gérard applies creative, multi-disciplinary, holistic and collaborative approaches to design and construction, to create climate responsive, low energy, ecologically inspired places that are a delight to live and work in, comfortable, enduring, and environmentally friendly. Construction, materials and finishes are selected according to criteria for ecology, equity, economics and technology - a quadruple top line. The uniqueness of each person, project and environment are reflected in Gérard′s diverse portfolio: private dwellings, civic buildings, landscapes and ecological planning. We offer services in architecture, landscape and ecological planning: environmental and climate analyses, planning, sketch and design development, town planning, heritage, documentation, detailing, interior design and selections, tendering and negotiations, and contract administration. Our approach incorporates place-making principles of ecology, conservation, local Pattern Languages, Cradle to Cradle, site and environmental repair.
