“We worked with Paul on an addition and complete internal re-do - bigger kitchen, bigger master bedroom. Paul is a good listener, honest, and genuine person. We ended up buying a house and he refunded the unused portion of our "retainer". From the beginning he is comfortable to work with and what he says, he does. I kind of hate to have found a house because I know he'd work wonders.”

“Alethea is amazing! She was an integral part of the team when we remodeled our entire basement, renovated our kitchen and added a large porch in the front of our home. She was the key person to help select all of the interior selections and after the work was completed, assisted in the interior furnishings as well. We did a second project with her as well. We added a laundry room that is the envy of my neighborhood. She designed and drew up all of the plans and worked well with all of the subs. Many friends have seen her work in my home and have hired her as well- both to help in structural changes as well as interior work. They all have been happy. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is true to her word, very organized and keeps you informed throughout the project. These are rare qualities. I am happy to talk with anyone who has any questions. Thanks!”

“When we hired David Lund to design our kitchen, new bathroom and new mudroom, we weren't sure what to expect. We had never undertaken such a large remodeling project before and we were overwhelmed with getting the layout exactly right and incorporating all the "little extras" we wanted in our dream kitchen. David took a pile of tear sheets that we'd saved, listened intently to our desires and concerns, and came back with plans that were so complete that even our contractor commented they were the best plans he'd ever worked with. What's more, David's suggestions for design picks completely changed the way we think about making choices for our home. He opened our eyes to options (hello, green penny tile!) that we would have never considered, and made us become better home decorators. He also retained the integrity of our nearly 100-year-old home by making countless choices that are consistent with its design period. When the project was complete it was not only exactly what we wanted, but was also filled with details we didn't know we wanted until he put them into place. We have a lot of envious friends.”

“I hired Hart's Design to design an addition to my home in Edina. This included a garage, workshop, master bath, roof deck, laundry/mudroom expansion. sunroom, and kitchen expansion. Admittedly, I am a very particular/difficult client. Generally, I am not satisfied with anyone I hire and usually consider it successful if the interaction does not end in the exchange of profanity. I know this about myself and tell people this prior to working with them. I have never offered to serve as a reference for any contractor or designer in the past. Robert was excellent. He took our ideas, added his expertise and brought it to life. He was responsive and timely and the rates were very reasonable. He delivered exactly what he said he would. I particularly liked that I could work with him to create a design/blueprints that we liked. I was then able to take these detailed plans and get bids from a number of contractors rather than being tied to a single design/build firm. This was some of the best money we spent on our addition. I would recommend Hart's Design without reservation.”

They had ideas that I didn't know were in the realm of possibility -- such as removing a wall and reorienting a staircase. I appreciate how flexible Chris and Lindsay were when I wanted to be specific about a materials choice and equally as flexible when I just wanted them to tell me what to choose. “Jeff did the design on our condo in downtown Minneapolis as well as the remodel of our Naples, FL condo. He did the overall design as well as overseeing the work. Both were very tasteful and exactly what we were looking for, it could not have been better. The Minneapolis condo (Rock Island Lofts) was designed and built out in about summer of 2004, and the Naples condo in summer of 2011.”

She is the rare combination of practical problem solving, experience and actual design talent – the spark, the touch, the eye – that design-and-build combo operations can never even approach. Meriwether also stayed on the scene throughout construction and served as a bulldog advocate for our interests with the builder. As you can tell, we are thrilled. “We researched various architects that were listed in Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine's Top Architects issue and found Steven Mooney. We were drawn to his work as it reflected the style we were seeking. When we met with Steve, we were impressed with how he listened to our vision and our ideas. He then came up with a design that surpassed our expectations. His experience shined as we had challenges with structural issues but Steven knew when to bring in additional resources to help make the best decisions. He was flexible during the building process and continued to listen to our ideas and our builder. He gave us good advice when we needed it. We love our new space! Nancy and Jim”

“We hired CONSTUCT Design twice for two distinct remodels on our 1903 house. Adrienne’s vision to transform our historic home with modern flow and refined touches was born from her ability to listen and understand how we lived in our space. She gave us choices that fit our budget and was a steady hand throughout the entire demo/buildout and through to the final finishes. She advocated for us in any questions with the contractor and made the transition seamless. House remodeling is an inherently stressful enterprise, but Adrienne was a rock and a reassuring presence throughout the whole process. I highly recommend CONSTRUCT Design if your considering a home remodel and aren’t in the mood for a cookie cutter design and no architect interaction after the blueprint ink is dry. Adrienne is the antithesis of that business model.”
