“My wife and I worked with Rush Dixon Architects (Rush and Judy) for over 6 months to design our forever home. They were able to extract our architectural style, spatial needs, and project program musts. The overall process with Rush and Judy is unlike most firms you will work with. Meetings include discussions, hand sketches, and interaction in an effort to deliver you the best product. Our house plans were executed in such a precise manner due to Rush's attention to detail and Judy's constant love for meeting the client's expectations. “When we first starting thinking about designing our home, on our lot with a large oak tree on Daniel Island, we knew that we wanted one that looked like it had historical significance. A house with that true southern coastal feel - Phil Clarke nailed it. In fact Phil did an excellent job for us in all aspects of the process! He walked with us from the initial planning stages through the overall design and on to build completion. He was involved in every step of the way and even went above and beyond attending a City of Charleston Review Board meeting with us for a certain zoning amendment we needed. Phil's attention to detail and excellent way of listening to our wants and needs let him create a home that works perfectly for both our peculiar lot size and maximized our lifestyle both inside and outdoors. We would recommend that anyone who is looking for a beautifully designed historical southern coastal home to use Phil and his team!”
