His design was true to the original style of the house, and yet made a reality of our vision to update and enhance the original. The kitchen was featured on the Lafayette kitchen tour. His detail work is extraordinary. I have heard of design professionals who are difficult to work with, but Doug is the opposite. He was very patient with us, and coordinated well with everyone else on the job (interior designer, contractor, subs). He is very efficient, which means that his fees were extremely reasonable. In particular, Impluvium not only designed an aesthetically beautiful ceiling in the great room, but it also provides layers of light for multiple uses at all times of the day and night, functionally it is a chase which delivers the in-home sound system and HVAC system, and it masks the new structural beam required when the demising wall was removed. The accuracy and completeness of Impluvium's design and architectural drawings were instrumental in expediting HOA approvals and permits.”
