Concept Architects

We engaged Concept Architects to produce some design concepts to visualise and build on our vision of an extension/renovation of our home, and it was a real pleasure to work with Richard! We found Richard to be responsive, friendly, a great listener and communicator. It was easy to communicate our brief at our early meetings and we can see that Richard truly cared about our wants and needs. It was also delightful being able to bounce ideas with Richard through the couple of iterations of the designs. We particularly appreciated Richard attending a meeting with a potential builder to discuss how we might refine and iterate the concepts to reflect what's achievable and practical within our budget. Whilst we decided not to go ahead with detailed design stage, it was due to the rising cost of building that is becoming unaffordable. We'd happily recommend Richard to anyone who would like to work with a knowledgeable and approachable architect.

We enjoyed working with Richard immensely. He took the time to understand us and our motivations for building - and our ideas as to how we wanted the house to function and feel. Concept Architects did a fantastic job in turning our project around. Our previously approved design had limited architectural appeal and did not take advantage of our fantastic bushland setting. We engaged Richard from Concept Architects for our house renovation. We had an idea of what we wanted but wanted to maximise the positives of our house and were not sure what was possible or allowed. He patiently listened and heard our needs and wants and promptly presented us with two different plan options for different budgets. We are currently putting together a subdivision & small development consisting of a four-bed house with a separate two-bed granny flat in Newcastle. We have been frustrated that no one has been able to come up with suitable designs allowing for vehicle turning spaces, light, modern design & functionality on a site which has a two street access and an existing house. Luckily we were introduced to Richard Hindle from Concept Architects who met us in our home, listened to our ideas & concerns, studied the site and then came up with a couple of design options. Both options suited the land, included all the necessary elements we were wanting but more importantly were innovative in both design & function. We found Richard's approach & work ethic both professional & inspiring but also because he actually listened to our brief. We are now moving forward with our development & Concept Architect's design in a much more positive & inspired direction & can thank Richard for this.
