ABOUT KGA is an established architecture design studio experienced in architecture, interiors, urban design, property development and management of construction programs. Our company’s extensive experience is supported by design director Christian Grennan, who graduated from the University of NSW in 1998. Christian is KGA’s nominated registered architect, design practitioner and a licensed builder. Our industry knowledge covers a wide range from master planning, feasibility studies, site analysis, concept designs, council building approvals, complying development approval, construction documentation, interior design, and contract administration. Since we made our (very considered) decision to run with KGA to undertake the substantial renovation of our Paddington terrace, we have never had a moment to regret it. Christian and Lin listened carefully to our design brief, came up with a number of creative options and provided critical direction during the design phase. They demonstrated perserverence, tact and skill in navigating us through the tricky DA stage. Their attention to detail was invaluable during the construction tender process, and again now during the construction phase. There has been a continued dicipline and communication around cost, and they have proved their considerable worth in their collaborative approach and understanding of what a quality project needs to take it to that level beyond the ordinary. We are very happy to have found such a professional, passionate, friendly and trustworthy team to work with to help realise our dream home.

Building in a tight inner city location can be quite complex but Christian and his team led us through the entire process with great skill, dedication and diligence. I found Christian and his team easy to deal with, always prompt with their communcication and very well organised. All of this is a must when dealing with the red tape when building in an inner city heritage area. Keep an eye out on your budget throughout the design process and you won't be dissapointed! We are a week or so of breaking ground with our build and are looking forward to seeing the amazing paper designs come to life in a beautiful and unique house.

Truly speaking, my wife and I feel so lucky to find KGA to provide us service for alteration and additional work to our existing terrace. It is an heritage item and the process for development approval is complicated and time consuming. We believe if we go for a cheap architect at the start, the process will never end. Both Christian and Felipe are patient and glad to answer questions at any time. They have their unique ideas and suggestions, which give us a lot of ideas about architectural design. We are at CC stage and hoping to obtain the certificate soon, and move in next year.

Kreis Grennan was the third architect on our house and restored our faith in the profession after a couple of bad experiences. We found the firm after reviewing their wonderful plans for another house in the same area. We appreciated their flat fee approach (and would never sign up with anyone who charges by the hour after the experience with our first architect). From the beginning it was clear that Chris and Christian were knowledgeable, switched on and thorough. The plans and concept designs met our detailed brief and were immediately impressive. In the end, ongoing frustrations with our local council's restrictive requirements meant that we did not proceed past the concept design stage. However, if we ever need to hire another architect, we would definitely work with Kreis Grennan again.

Christian and the team at Kreis Grennan have been such a pleasure to work with. Our brief was not an easy one - to transform our run down inner west terrace house, fill it with natural light with a clean, crisp palette, all on the tightest of budgets. But the combination of great imagination, innovative design and absolute attention to detail has transformed our home. We’re close to completion now and the work has truly exceeded our expectations of what we thought was possible. We can’t recommend them highly enough.

We’re halfway through a DA with the KG team. More than happy with the service and designs so far, and their approach to Council. They seem priced in the mid range bracket and are happy to include creative design in their creations. We would recommend them and hope to use their services again.

The project was substantial and Chris' attention to detail on every aspect of the job was impeccable. We fully trusted and respected his judgement and advice on materials, labour, cost and effectiveness based on our circumstances and for our home. We continue to maintain a close relationship with Chris and love seeing the new developments and amazing results he can achieve. Chris and his team redesigned the front of my sandstone terrace in Redfern to include reconditioned verandah, courtyard and fence plus colour scheme. They prepared a set of very beautiful and comprehensive drawings and answered my brief very skillfully. The work was done in a very timely manner and their charges were within my own estimate.
