We recently met with Bec and Andy of Maytree Studios for one of their Summer Session and went along with an idea of what we thought we wanted to do for our renovation. By the time we had finished, our idea had been turned on it's head and we left with a completely new option to consider. The two hours we spent with them was exceptional value for money and we recommend anybody considering a renovation to try the Summer Session. I worked with Maytree Studios to relocate and renovate a very old Queenslander on my new site in Red Hill. Their design skills have made the best of the site, taking advantage of a stunning poinciana and creating wonderful spaces to sit and enjoy the surrounds. The build project was problematic for many reasons, some known, some not. Having renovated three houses previously I thought I was familiar with the journey, however I've never felt more comfortable and at ease with the team at Maytree. The Maytree team made it unbelievably easier - they just 'got it'. I could not be more thrilled with the finished product. The house is everything I wanted and more!

We're working with Maytree at present on extensive renovations and an extension to our workers cottage. Plans are with council, with construction to start by year's end. I'd previously engaged another architect who's work I'd seen online and loved, but after a few meetings I found I just couldn't gel with the lead personality-wise. On the recommendation of an (architect) friend I contacted Rebecca, and we engaged Maytree soon after. The effort put into understanding our needs and collating our (somewhat schizophrenic) ideas into a cohesive plan for our house has been mindblowing: our house will be unique and totally suited to the needs of our family. We had Rebecca from May Tree Studios discuss our existing and rather boring home with a view to give it more street appeal without spending a fortune and to make some alterations to the interior. We were more than delighted with the concept drawings provided following our discussion. We have now completed the work and the home is transformed to unrecognisable (one visitor drove right past). Recently a regular passer-by commented that our home is now the best in the street - it was easily the least attractive in our street previously. Together with the concept drawings, Rebecca also provided details of colours that are modern and very attractive, yet blend well with existing original features. I did not think that would be possible. We are a building company so we see a lot of home designs. We considered that the proposal from Rebecca was practical and cost effective, as well as being highly professional. We highly recommend her to you.
