“What can I say about Josh, well, many things, but here is the nails and wood of who he is as a professional...My partner and I recently hired him to design a water facing home. He jumped right to work in meeting us at the property to check it out. He provided a very reasonable quote for his services. And then the design services began...he is so prompt in his work, he is versed in understanding and will guide you in the permit, contracting, and engineering aspects as well. “No question, our house was a challenge. Kirsten and D3 were tasked with recreating plans for a 105-year-old house as no blueprints existed... the greater challenge, however, was the Heritage Revitalization Agreement with the City of New Westminster. Along with heritage specialist Elana Zysblat, Kirsten helped to save another house in the Queen's Park neighbourhood. Creative and thoughtful design to maximize space inside, and conservation-sensitive exterior modifications have resulted in a house that has one of the biggest - if not the biggest floor-space ratio in New Westminster. Neighbours have commented that aside from looking sharp and clean, the house generally looks the same from the street... exactly the goal that Kirsten, Elana and the City were trying to achieve. We are very pleased with Kirsten and her enthusiastic, patient and professional approach. When the work required to complete the heritage revitalization process exceeded the original budget, Kirsten put in many extra hours and did not charge us - and offered to perform any additional services at a reduced rate. This is the way to handle the unexpected... thank you, Kirsten! I would be happy to work with her again in the future. When the exterior painting is done, I will post photos...”

“We have met with Zebra a number of times to discuss renos and they have always been prompt, engaging and professional. When we hired them to do a small reno of a older home, they came up with great ideas on simple changes to make things more efficient or cost effective (e.g. moving the door to the kitchen to give room for a pantry - to this day, I love this change). They also took into account the needs of our family (4 kids/dog) and chose products that were durable”

Villamar provided an accurate and transparent cost estimate which they followed through on. Specifically, Duane Ensing worked through the design details with us, enlisting the interior design services, where appropriate, of Lisa Dunsmuir (OneStep Design). We were happy with the design process and the effective problem-solving approach used. The site superintendent for the actual construction project was Drew Mackie. His attention to detail, to quality, and to ensuring we were satisfied with the outcome was his focus when working with us. His integrity is impeccable and allowed us to feel that our project was in reliable hands. After living in the completed house for six months, we can recommend Villamar without reservation to design, project manage and construct your new home.”
