Mike was incredibly professional, patient and calm in helping us understand the process and make decisions. “There are flooring contractors and then there is Eric Herman at State of the Art Flooring. I’m pleased to say that Eric is a cut above all the other contractors out there. My situation involved a failed refinishing of a floor as a result of having a difficult wood to stain (Beech). To determine how best to fix the problem I interviewed 5 different contractors and only Eric promised that he could solve it. But more importantly, only Eric was willing to make the effort to understand what had gone wrong previously and then invest the time experimenting with different solutions. He did not less than 20 samples in his laboratory and 8 samples on sight. When one approach wasn’t working, he switched gears and spent several hours on the phone with the manufacturer of a product that ultimately worked. Eric might cost more than other contractors, but he is worth every penny! I wholeheartedly recommend him and his firm.”

“I moved into a co-op and didn't realize how much of a hassle it is to get ANYTHING done. But Freddy of NOVART was a huge help! After we agreed on what I wanted renovated in the apartment (fully renovate the kitchen and bathroom), he took over, gave me suggestions and made sure everything was up to the standard requested by the co-op management. He even was patient enough to work with the electrician and plumber that the co-op management made me hire since it was who "they" trusted.. he had to teach them what to do... The work was done quickly and professionally and even when I changed my mind during renovation, he never hesitated to work with me and gave me feedback on what we should and shouldn't do. The work was finished quickly even in the midst of the pandemic and overall I am very satisfied with the work done. No complaints and even though he offered that he'd come and fix anything that I'm not satisfied with, I haven't had the need to call him since everything was done well.”

They were extremely professional and caring in ensuring our hardwood floors were refinished with the utmost standards and quality. The leadership team scoped out the job on Monday and by Wednesday we booked the job, they started on Thursday and the project was fully executed and all deliverables were met by Saturday. We had really light dated hardwood floors and they refinished it with a dark walnut fine finish. The holes they patched were perfect. Five stars and hats off to Thiego, Lewis and the entire team!”
