“We had a deck (16x10} and a Pergola (12x12) constructed in our backyard. We contacted them because they were building a deck and pergola for neighbors. Jose and crew completed the job in about 4 days. Construction was top notch. We love it. The ATX team were considerate, professional and a pleasure to work with. While the construction was underway, the team provided constant feedback and were willing to accomadate any changes along the way. Highly recommend! Greg”

“We approached David as we were collecting bids. As you know bids for solar can be all over the place if you don’t breakdown the details. David was personable, professional and easy to talk to. We walked through his estimate based on our future electrical needs. We were able to negotiate on price to come to a very satisfactory dollar figure. End result was lower electrical costs that met our needs.”

“Hired moss to screen in back porch based on they’re bid and quality of materials they described. I am extremely satisfied with the job. Quality of the work done and the color matching of the materials to my house color was perfect. Would use them again in the future”
Red Knights Construction LLC
Patio Construction Services in Guadalupe County, TX
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars22 October 2021
“We had Red Knights replace three posts that supported our second story deck. It was something that was well beyond my one capabilities but they knocked it out in a few hours and for less than what another contractor had quoted for replacing just one post. They were very responsive and made sure that the work was done right. I highly recommend them for your construction projects.”
My Deck and Patio

“This was a pretty big project in a downtown historic district. It was hard to find a contractor who even wanted to take on the job to build a 2nd story deck off the back of the house. The first company I called said we were not in their service area. Second company said their insurance would not cover doing a 2nd story deck because it was more than 8-feet off the ground (seriously?). Then I called Massimo at My Deck and Patio and he came out that week to discuss the job and agreed to work on a design for us. This is an old historic house with high ceilings, so the second story deck would be more than 12 feet above the ground level. We wanted a staircase to lead to the yard, but it would have had to be multiple flights due to the height, which would have taken up a lot of space and added a LOT to the cost. I suggested the possibility of a metal spiral staircase and Massimo was all over it. He had done one like that in the past and was able to show me some pictures. Normally such a staircase would have to be custom fabricated, but he was able to find one already built at a local welding shop that was perfect for my project and at a huge discount. He worked that into the design and provided me with several design and material options. I chose a design and we we set up a contract. Then came all the delays to get the design approved by the city Historic Preservation Office and to get the permit from Development Services. Permitting required getting an engineer involved and some design changes. It took almost 3 months to get all the approvals. Massimo handled all of that and it resulted in some extra cost for the contract, but I felt better having an engineer sign off on it and going through the correct permitting process. Finally, the project started. Josey, his carpenter and a helper did the bulk of the work; he worked kind of slow but did quality work. Massimo inspected the progress regularly and made sure any mistakes got fixed. We also had some stone masons involved with attaching a steel beam to the house, and a painter to paint the metal staircase and stain the deck. With some rain delays, it took about a month to finish the project. But it is beautiful and we are very happy with the work. Overall cost of the project was fair for the quality or materials and amount of design and engineering work that was required. We could have saved some money using pressure treated pine, but the look of the western red cedar is so much nicer. I would definitely use My Deck and Patio again and probably will to finish out below the deck with some pavers or flagstones.”

“This was a whole deck and side stairs remodel and pergola construction. The whole project, from start to finish, was a great experience! Mr. Antuna showed great enthusiasm and had many ideas when he first met us which was reflected in the design of the remodel. We were very pleased with the plans he designed. This enthusiasm was carried through all areas of the project. They started demo while we were out of the continental U.S. and kept us informed of progress and sent pictures. All the carpenters and the hired electrician were professional, courteous, and cleaned up every day at the end of the day. Jorge was a workhorse! He showed up early, took a short break (on-site) for lunch, and worked until dark every day they could, working around the unusually wet weather we had. The project took a little longer through no fault of their own due to weather issues and the deck railing manufacturer shipping damaged railing (which they refused to install or try to fix on site.) Our total satisfaction in every step of the project always seemed to be the end goal. I am looking forward to hiring them again for the next phase - the outdoor kitchen!”
