We do what we do because we enjoy helping people create a beautiful and practical outdoor living area at their homes. We work with our clients to take the stress out of building or renovating. Professional Information

Castlegate Home Improvements are outdoor carpenters. We build decks, patios, carports, balconies, pergolas, verandas, bull nose verandas, install screening, fences, wall cladding and install ceiling lining. We can project manage an entire outdoor living job from the drawing of the plans for council permits to the construction including electrical work, painting and brick work to the final clean up. Paul Wilkinson and the small team are experience and qualified carpenters and Paul is an experienced roof plumber.

The project entailed the removal of old deteriorated decking boards, repairing the damaged structural frame, and installing new decking boards. This project was completed during the hot months of January and February. The new decking looks magnificent. Special thanks to Paul, Adam and Emma. I decided to replace my old timber deck with a new raised deck at the rear of my home. I got 5 quotes in all, incl 2 for Merabu timber and 3 for Composite. I was tossing up whether to go with timber or composite, and settled on Trex Composite which was the most expensive mainly due to the little maintenance that would be required in the future and the colour range. Castlegate were not the cheapest quote, however they were prepared to follow through with the required building approvals. Emma and Paul were so helpful and always gave me updates as to the work in progress, which is rare these days. I know this was a challenging job for Castlegate but they were highly professional. Paul and his worker Adam did a wonderful job, and the finished result looks fantastic. This was an expensive exercise but well worth it in the finish. You get what you pay for. I cannot recommend Castlegate Home Improvements highly enough. they were 5 star all the way. Thank you, Paul and Emma,

We used Castlegate to supply & install ceiling liner boards for our alfresco area and build a small feature deck and ornamental pergola. We found them very responsive, flexible and professional. They helped to choose suitable materials, coordinated their visits with us and always kept the job site clean and tidy at the end of the day. Paul was very open with his experience to assist us to get the best outcome for the job. The work was completed on time and on budget. Would thoroughly recommend Castlegate to others.

The quote was excellent and they provided top quality products. Our composite decking was completed in just over a day and were are absolutely thrilled with how beautiful it looks. Castlegate did a pergola with timber posts and timber rafters. They did a ceiling which was then capped by a colorbond roof. They also did a composite decking. Castlegate paid much attention to detail and took an interest over and above calling. They were easy to deal with. We have no qualms about recommending a compony skilled in their trade and above all showing a remarkable interest and passion in what they do Dorothy and Gamani Ocean Reef
