“My husband and I had debated for several months if we should move to a larger space, or renovate our current home for our expanding family. I had brought this up with Rick Byrd, the owner of Byrd Design and Build (BDB), and he immediately came to our house to talk with us through all of our options. He walked through our house and really gave us some amazing plans to make the space we already had more usable and more modern and up to date. This was the perfect option for us, considering we were expecting our first child. He laid out all of the different renovation plans we could have and really helped us envision a space catered to our wants and needs. My husband works from home, so we thought it was going to be a difficult journey to do an almost complete gut job of our basement and first floor kitchen/bedroom/bath, but BDB did an amazing job accommodating him and being cautious of the space we weren’t renovating. During the construction process, all of the subcontractors of BDB were extremely nice, non-invasive and very courteous of everything in the house. Darren, the project manager, was always attentive and mindful of our timeline, which was shortened due to the arrival of our new baby. We have the perfect new nursery, brand new kitchen and bathroom, and an entirely finished basement all just in time for our son. Everything was completed in a timely fashion and in pristine condition. We are obsessed with our basically “new” house!”

“Creative Spaces designed and built a mult-tiered kayak rack on our beach. The location was cumbersome and required them to watch the tides during construciton. The end result was beautiful, well constructed and has held up to the various weather elements (including Hurricane Sandy!).”

“Merrick completed a large renovation project for our split level home to include a new and larger first level with a new kitchen, dining room, family room with a stone fireplace and screened porch. The project went very smoothly from the design phase through completion of construction and was delivered prior to the date promised and within budget. We lived in the house during the construction with far less than expected disruption. Everyone in the construction crew was very professional, knowledgable and considerate of our needs and even went the extra mile to be sure our dog was not disrupted too much each day while we were at work. We received frequent updates on the status of the project from the foreman and always knew who to expect to be working at our house each day. The finished product exceeded our expectations in every way and we highly recommend Merrick Design Build .”

“Wall to Wall did a porch project for us first. They created a hybrid arched porch for our otherwise non descript home. The craftsmanship and carpentry work are exemplary. The end result gave our home a personality and curb appeal. The confidence and positive feedback from this exterior project gave us complete confidence in contracting Wall to Wall for our kitchen renovation. This included removal of a load bearing wall. This was not an obstacle for this experienced company. They were able to use an embedded beam support in order to remove the wall and create the open concept kitchen and family room of our dreams. Again, the craftsmanship, carpentry, and attention to detail were top notch. The carpenters and crew were professional, punctual, and neat. Greg Wall takes pride in his projects and ensures a product of high quality, attractive design and functionality. I highly recommend that those interested in quality construction by a professional and highly skilled staff check out the gallery on the company website. The work of Wall to Wall is gorgeous!”

“I am in a wheelchair and needed to redesign my kitchen to make it accessible without making it LOOK accessible. Post & Beam (Bill, Scott and Steve) were an incredible help from beginning to end. They helped design it and helped me find appliances that were helpful and contemporary. They were patient with us. We are a busy family with four kids and a husband that travels so we needed time to make our decision, select appliances and yet they never treated us like we were a pain to deal with. I look forward to working with them again very soon.”
