“I had some pipes burst a few winters ago, what started as misfortune became an opportunity for an incredible restoration - The Underwood Brothers re-did the floors of our 1773 farmhouse beautifully in keeping with the historical elements of the home. I can't recommend them enough! Photos are from a few years after project completion with the floors still shining.”

“Couldn't be more pleased with the design and construction work of Andreas and Jamie in renovating the 1960's ranch house we purchased last year. Their design sense is exceptional, their craftsmanship and carpentry skills meticulous and exacting. They approach each challenge with a great deal of thought and caring, adding small touches of unique artistry which resulted in our home becoming a lovely and nourishing place to live. Andreas is a thoughtful, respectful communicator which made this difficult time for our family SO much easier! “Thank goodness We found The Finishing Company after many bad experiences with local contractors. We have been happy ever since!!!!! Daniel is meticulous and always wants his customers to be 100% happy with the results. He is thoughtful and creative and has worked so well with us to get our home renovated to our exact specifications. Never before have we had the good fortune of working with someone like him. He asks the right questions, listens to what we have to say and has made brilliant suggestions on how to enhance our 1970s chalet. He is on time and on budget and communicates perfectly throughout the project. A++++!”

“We loved working with Understory and would trust them with any project, they will be our first call in future. They do high quality work and ensure that from all of their subcontractors as well. Their problem solving abilities on site were impressive, they always came up with solutions to tricky problems that kept us on track. They're highly organized and good communicators. Impressively, they delivered on schedule and on budget during a time period with inflation and supply chain issues where no one else we knew of could pull that off. Pricing was transparent and fair. And they bring a positive energy to the jobsite, from Brad and Kieran and all of the team, who are all nice people that you'd want working on your house. We could not recommend them highly enough!”

“Damian, Chris and their crew are amazing professional artists and craftsmen. They have designed many special accents and functional pieces in our home, most of these with a custom copper patina on steel. These include: retrofitted a gas fireplace and cast a concrete chimney, built an amazing concrete kitchen counter, fabricated a kitchen backsplash, created custom stairwell railings, engineered a post to complement a small shower, and finally just built us a beautiful floating deck of cedar and painted steel. Each project was done with care and precision and we couldn't be happier with the results.”

I told Mike the kind of design I was interested in -- he took my vague thoughts, made incredibly helpful suggestions, and created a bed frame with the most perfect proportions. The grain of the wood flows and catches the light so beautifully. He was an absolute pleasure to work with - on time and very professional.”
