“My husband and I had debated for several months if we should move to a larger space, or renovate our current home for our expanding family. I had brought this up with Rick Byrd, the owner of Byrd Design and Build (BDB), and he immediately came to our house to talk with us through all of our options. He walked through our house and really gave us some amazing plans to make the space we already had more usable and more modern and up to date. This was the perfect option for us, considering we were expecting our first child. He laid out all of the different renovation plans we could have and really helped us envision a space catered to our wants and needs. My husband works from home, so we thought it was going to be a difficult journey to do an almost complete gut job of our basement and first floor kitchen/bedroom/bath, but BDB did an amazing job accommodating him and being cautious of the space we weren’t renovating. During the construction process, all of the subcontractors of BDB were extremely nice, non-invasive and very courteous of everything in the house. Darren, the project manager, was always attentive and mindful of our timeline, which was shortened due to the arrival of our new baby. We have the perfect new nursery, brand new kitchen and bathroom, and an entirely finished basement all just in time for our son. Everything was completed in a timely fashion and in pristine condition. We are obsessed with our basically “new” house!”

“We can't say enough about Michael Sauri and his crew at TriVistaUSA. Our remodel was rather extensive, adding to and changing over 75% of our house. TriVistaUSA reworked our kitchen and sunroom into a massive greatroom/kitchen, moved the deck, turned our old deck into my office, and added a master suite downstairs among other things. We had begun the construction with a different contractor who turned out to be a crook. He abandoned our project in massive disarray, no roof, walls open to the elements and a heap of trash filling the back yard. Michael came in and put us back together. Not only did TriVistaUSA complete our dream home on schedule and on budget, but they did this after having to clean up, assess and repair the mess left behind by the prior contractor. Through all of that, one of my favorite things about TriVistaUSA was how willing they were not just to offer suggestions for design and construction, but to listen to our ideas - to find out who we were and what we wanted in a home. “Merrick completed a large renovation project for our split level home to include a new and larger first level with a new kitchen, dining room, family room with a stone fireplace and screened porch. The project went very smoothly from the design phase through completion of construction and was delivered prior to the date promised and within budget. We lived in the house during the construction with far less than expected disruption. Everyone in the construction crew was very professional, knowledgable and considerate of our needs and even went the extra mile to be sure our dog was not disrupted too much each day while we were at work. We received frequent updates on the status of the project from the foreman and always knew who to expect to be working at our house each day. “Touchstone remodelers has performed extremely well in two of our homes, one in washington, d.C. And the other in chevy chase, maryland. In both cases, the owner, ben sigler, remained involved despite the many projects this firm handles in the washington metropolitan area. Of special note, the lead contractor always comes to ensure the workers are assiduous in carrying out their duties. For example, in a recent project requiring major demolition, the officer came to check on the quality of the work and to ensure that all areas were cleaned by day's end. Touchstone also calls in advance if there is, for example, an earlier start of work. The finished products we have experienced both outdoor relative to a deck and chimney and interior involving marble, glass and chrome, the product has been of the highest quality. May it be noted, that this firm also completely remodeled a home in our washington neighborhood and turned it into a large model home from top to bottom. Touchstone has our highest recommendation for effective and beautiful work.”
