“I had about a third of my basement, about 550 sq. ft., completed using the Matrix Basement System. This r-18 rated, water proof, mold proof, mildew proof system (4' by 8' panels) was perfect for protecting my investment. They also did my drop ceiling, all electrical, hvac work and installed the three doors we added. The total process took about 4 weeks. The work crew was very professional. They worked with me in coordinating the parts of this project that I had other contractors complete and made the whole experience very enjoyable. My completed basement blends in with the rest of my house. The insulated panels keeps the humidity down and the temperatures at the same level as my upstairs level. I love it.”

We had the basic ideas about what we wanted to do which we reviewed with Steve. He worked with us to further develop our ideas, then provided architectural renderings of what we had collaborated on. “We had a small master bathroom with a huge jet tub, one sink, toilet and small shower. Hickory Builders came up with a design that made the bathroom feel twice as big with everything we wanted. By taking one of the linen closets on the other side of the wall and removing the unused jet tub, they were able to not only make a large shower my husband wanted, but also put in a double sink, claw foot tub and a beautiful cabinet with a lot of storage. The transformation is amazing and a pleasure to be in whether in the tub soaking in a nice soothing hot bath or showering with lots of room. The cabinetry is custom built and the quality is second to none. They are professional, clean and go above and beyond! We also had the kitchen done a few years earlier and also an outstanding job, that's why we had them back. “Excellent crew: Bath and Closet area remodel: Delivered exactly what they said as we ran into no major suprised during the remodel. Cleaned up everyday...so, no dust & dirt floating around my home. Took care not to let any pets outside. Can't say enough nice things. The original bath was shades of Olive Green tiles and tub/sink/toilet. The closet was 2 bifold doors in a walk through area to get to the bath. Did you want before photos?”
