“My husband's grandfather is going to come live with us so we can give him more care as he ages. We hired Stephen to design a master bed/bath addition that has ADA-accessibility for Grandpa, as well as a kitchen & dining remodel on our small, ~925 sq ft, 2 bed, 1 bath 1935 cottage. We are still in the process of finalizing the design and are getting ready to hire a contractor for the project. Stephen has been great to work with so far. He is friendly, thorough, thoughtful and very creative. Throughout this long process of narrowing down what we want our house to be he has patiently and carefully listened to all our ideas, concerns and needs, given us great ideas of his own, answered all of our questions, and has incorporated everything we want into a ~1420 sq ft, 3 bed, 2.5 bath floor plan. We are looking forward to working with Stephen throughout this project and we are confident that with his help we will end up with a beautiful and comfortable, family friendly home.”

“Leff Construction renovated our house, added on a sun room, built decks surrounding our house, changed the roofline because of the add on, and installed landscaping. They worked on our home, improving it from one end to the other, for over a year. During that time they showed up every day, provided top rate work, both from their construction crew and their sub contractors, and remained respectful and helpful throughout. The billing was clear and honest. Whenever something needed correcting (which was seldom), it was accomplished quickly and thoroughly. To attest to how much I respect Leff Construction, we have become good friends with Dave Leff, and I have served on a nonprofit board with him for several years. I know that's a rare and precious outcome from a house remodel. I continue to ask his company to do small jobs for us when they occur, and I recommend him highly to anyone undertaking construction or remodeling.”

“I have known and worked with Brian and his firm since 2005. The work he does is a display of mastery in his craft. With a talent for precision and innovation, the projects he has completed are some of the best in their class. Always remarkable is his ability to engineer a finished product that maintains the unique architectural elements which give the home a consistent feel and style. I have seen him take a home with historical value and reproduce trim details which have been unavailable for decades. Other contractors will often simply compromise the original style and create an addition which is contradictory to the homes roots. I recommend Brian highly whenever quality and building integrity are paramount.”

“We live in the Meadowridge house which we bought from Gary in 2000. He had designed and built the house in 1994. We had him add on to the house, converting the garage to another room and building a new garage. My wife and I love the house. In fact we are expanding again adding space to the garage and putting two bedrooms above the garage along with other changes. Gary had left the area so we are using another architect/builder. But we have continued his designs in the new addition. My comments refer to The original house and addition. The design is fantastic. The best attribute is the sky lights that run run the length of the house in both directions. These make the house what it is! The use of wood (aspen ceilings, vertical pine logs, sand blasted wood trim around the doors, etc.) and stone (entry way and some outside walls) give the house an outdoors feel inside. Several rooms/closets do not have doors giving an openness to the house. We love the vaulted ceilings leading up to the sky lights that emphasizes this openness. He also used interior windows to light up areas that would not receive sunlight. In short we love his architectural ideas as expressed in our house. We have lived in the house for 12 years and have had no structural issues in spite of heavy winter snows. -Cres Fleming”

“Wonderful experience! I had ordered a pre-made kitchen island I felt would be too large. I went to Heritage Salvage not knowing what to expect, but sure a custom island would be out of my budget. They said they could make me something for the same price I was going to pay for the other...and then worked with me to design something exactly to my needs and specifications. It was a very fun experience. The best part is the wood is from a pre 1906 earthquake building in San Francisco, where I grew up. I love that the heart of my kitchen has a story!”
