“My husband and I had debated for several months if we should move to a larger space, or renovate our current home for our expanding family. I had brought this up with Rick Byrd, the owner of Byrd Design and Build (BDB), and he immediately came to our house to talk with us through all of our options. He walked through our house and really gave us some amazing plans to make the space we already had more usable and more modern and up to date. This was the perfect option for us, considering we were expecting our first child. He laid out all of the different renovation plans we could have and really helped us envision a space catered to our wants and needs.
My husband works from home, so we thought it was going to be a difficult journey to do an almost complete gut job of our basement and first floor kitchen/bedroom/bath, but BDB did an amazing job accommodating him and being cautious of the space we weren’t renovating. During the construction process, all of the subcontractors of BDB were extremely nice, non-invasive and very courteous of everything in the house. Darren, the project manager, was always attentive and mindful of our timeline, which was shortened due to the arrival of our new baby. We have the perfect new nursery, brand new kitchen and bathroom, and an entirely finished basement all just in time for our son. Everything was completed in a timely fashion and in pristine condition. We are obsessed with our basically “new” house!”

“Wall to Wall did a porch project for us first. They created a hybrid arched porch for our otherwise non descript home. The craftsmanship and carpentry work are exemplary. The end result gave our home a personality and curb appeal. The confidence and positive feedback from this exterior project gave us complete confidence in contracting Wall to Wall for our kitchen renovation. This included removal of a load bearing wall. This was not an obstacle for this experienced company. They were able to use an embedded beam support in order to remove the wall and create the open concept kitchen and family room of our dreams. Again, the craftsmanship, carpentry, and attention to detail were top notch. The carpenters and crew were professional, punctual, and neat. Greg Wall takes pride in his projects and ensures a product of high quality, attractive design and functionality. “Touchstone remodelers has performed extremely well in two of our homes, one in washington, d.C. And the other in chevy chase, maryland. In both cases, the owner, ben sigler, remained involved despite the many projects this firm handles in the washington metropolitan area. Of special note, the lead contractor always comes to ensure the workers are assiduous in carrying out their duties. For example, in a recent project requiring major demolition, the officer came to check on the quality of the work and to ensure that all areas were cleaned by day's end. Touchstone also calls in advance if there is, for example, an earlier start of work. The finished products we have experienced both outdoor relative to a deck and chimney and interior involving marble, glass and chrome, the product has been of the highest quality. May it be noted, that this firm also completely remodeled a home in our washington neighborhood and turned it into a large model home from top to bottom. Touchstone has our highest recommendation for effective and beautiful work.”
