“We hired Nick and Paul at Raylian to lead a tricky 550 m2 office conversion into residential space in a prime location central Chiswick. Along with the practice personal creative skills I was very impressed by their technical know how. The teams knowledge of building regulations, local authority planning requirements and technical building skills saved me a substantial amount in architects fees and it was comforting to experience their confidence when addressing the builders and trades and the respect they attracted. The creative design planning stage and specification for finishes and furnishings was professional and stress free. It was great to have a designer sketch their ideas while explaining their thoughts. Discussing ideas in 3D is a real advantage. Given the licence to express themselves they came up with some really great ideas. Project management was equally important, especially with all the H&S requirements attached to the industry these days. I also felt once the budget was approved they made a good effort to protect it right through to completion. “Right from the start I knew things were going to be highly professional. Will got back to me within 3 or 4 days with a quote on a sizeable project whereas a previous candidate had taken over two weeks. He was able to start within an acceptable time frame so off we went. Anyone who has dealt with builders will know all about sharp intakes of breath and phrases like " Well I don't know about that, It's going to be expensive". Will's greatest strength, apart from his enormous charm, is his ability so see and understand what the client wants and do his best to fulfil those wishes. Along the way I had to change a number of things, some of them quite major like taking out a chimney breast but none of this was a problem. I should add that he came up with many really good ideas himself which was an invaluable contribution to the wonderful end result. His initial estimate was not the cheapest of the three that I had but as they say " you get what you pay for" and I would say without any hesitation that I made the right decision. Another of Will's great assets is that he is always accessible and if he happened to be stuck up a ladder he would call me back. So many other builders never answer their phone or take days to get back to you. Fantastic job, a wonderful polite team who were very tidy and professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.”

“I have used the GD Group a for a couple of jobs in my old house; decorating my first child's nursery, landscaping my garden and re-vamping my kitchen. GD Group came to my house and gave me an estimate for the work and, on the whole, they stuck to it. I appreciate that when the design changed (because I changed my mind!) this effected the costs but they discussed this with me thoroughly beforehand and gave me all the options, so there were no 'hidden charges'. It felt like GD Group took the time to get to know me, what I was after and the style/nature of my home and this made a big difference. The Landscaping of my garden was a huge job and I was beyond pleased with the finished results, so much so that we seriously debated selling our house because we loved it so much. Funnily enough, its the first thing the buyer commented on for his viewing and it became one of the key selling points of the house. GD Group were really tidy around the site, they were always really polite and respectful of my home and belongings, which to me was really important. They turned up on time and did a good day's work. They came up with design ideas that I hadn't thought of; they really know their stuff. My kitchen re-vamp was a significantly cheaper job that the garden works, but I never once felt that they didn't take this job as seriously or give as much dedication because it was a smaller budget. The finish and work was excellent. I had used painters/decorators before and once they'd left I'd found a few 'snagging' bits that I wasn't happy with and trying to get them back in was a nightmare. I didn't have any of that with the GD Group. I am now in the process of getting the GD Group to come into my new home to do the works I need done. They have already suggested some excellent ideas for our garden that work in our budget; I need a space for adults and a space for young children in a relatively small garden and what they have suggested and designed works perfectly and is affordable for us. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the GD Group as finding a tradesperson/company that I can trust has been such a peace of mind for me, so much so that I haven't gone around getting quotes for my new house, I've just called them back in.”
