They oversaw a top-to-bottom refitting of a home that was poorly lit, had knob-and-tube wiring, lacked central air conditioning, and had the original Victorian woodwork (which while beautiful showed the ravages of time). They had access to skilled artisans who brought care and imagination to the thousands of puzzles posed by making a house modern but preserving period detail. Bathrooms were remodeled, a state-of-the-art home theater was created, and a whole floor was reconstructed. Gary Streck CRM kept them on the job, on deadline, and within budget. Always professional and always setting the highest standards for any of the jobs performed. Thanks to them, we know that we live in an historic home but remain warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and well lit. The "Old World" level of craftmanship is evident in every room. It was quite an accomplishment for Gary Streck CRM and worthy of the Golden Prism Award for Best Historic Renovation in 2013.”

At 7 months pregnant I could not be bothered with any of the details nor did I have the time to even remotely think about how to get it done. After an initial meeting with Pam and her team, they set to work -- finding us the right resources, re-configuring the space, selecting and sourcing everything from floors to fixtures, color palettes and finishes, and most importantly working within my budget and timeline. “My wife and I needed a kitchen renovation and we were referred to Bertola Custom Homes by a friend. Joe came to our house shortly after we contacted his company to provide us with an estimate. We had a general idea of what we wanted and that included removing two structural walls to open up our floor plan. The job was big and very complex, however Joe was able to design the alteration on the spot and 3 days after we met the walls were gone. Because the new design asked for a window relocation, we also had them repair some rotten woodwork on the exterior and paint the entire house. It was very impressive how quickly he managed to come up with drawings from an Engineer, the building permits and begin the work. Everything went very smoothly. The crew moved and protected the furniture as well as the floors. They were friendly, worked very hard, and the site was kept super clean at all times. We also liked the air filter that they provided. It helped to control all the dust from getting everywhere. The final product is amazing. Joe takes real pride of his work. We appreciate his professionalism, work ethic, honesty and positive attitude. It has been amazingly easy dealing with Joe and his team. All of them are super nice and fun to be around. We are extremely happy with all the work and are already on his busy schedule for remodeling four of our bathrooms in the fall. Highly recommend.”

He has great creativity for any project and checks for safety. What started as a load bearing wall coming down ended up an unimaginable Beautiful, gorgeous "big" living room which I get many compliments to this day. “Paul Dobler remodeled a 1980’s house in Colorado for us. It was originally built with radiant heat along the center beam of the house, so all of the rooms had walls up to the door headers and no ceilings! He raised the walls up to the open beam roof, tore down and resized 2 bedrooms with pocket doors in the closets and transom windows above the doors. He moved the front wall of the house out 8 feet to expand the living room. Paul also designed a 20 x 20 sun room addition with Structural Insulated Panels. He installed 4” aluminum air tubes embedded in the concrete floor that move air warmed by the tile floor in this south-facing room through the crawl space and connect to the existing heat ducts for added solar gain. He installed an amazing Nanowall 6-panel glass folding door that opens onto a deck that surrounds the room on 3 sides. The sun room is connected to the existing building with glass pocket doors. Paul is an expert at hanging doors. The sun room addition has an upper covered deck accessed by a custom metal stairway. Paul suggested the upper deck to add some outdoor living space and to make the most of the view of Mesa Verde and the LaPlata Mountains. Paul also removed the damaged concrete walkway along the driveway and had new concrete poured on all 4 sides of the house. He designed a new front entry and a back mud room. The finishing touch was stucco on the outside in a Southwest style. Throughout the design process Paul worked diligently to incorporate every detail that was important to us. He used a program integrated with Google Earth that let us “walk through” the house at different times of the day and year. Having him on-site working with the building crew and overseeing the subcontractors was invaluable. He met the challenge of a 50-mile drive to Home Depot and a delivery schedule of “sometime next week” from the local hardware store. We’re very pleased with Paul’s work on our home and would hire him again without hesitation.”
