“Our major project had 3 distinct phases, which at the outset could have been either 3 projects or an integrated project. We were so happy with the first renovation project of the historic barn that we progressed with the extension to, and renovation of, our period farmhouse and the creation of a linked pool and leisure area. James at Bournesouth coordinated the tender processes, assembled and managed the team of builders and allied trades (from people he knew, had worked with and were used to working as a team) to deliver a first class project on time and on budget. His intimate knowledge of the processes and the interaction/potential conflicts of the specialist trades allowed him to anticipate issues before they arose and in close consultation with us to deliver the project to our complete satisfaction. We would highly recommend Bournesouth and James for delivering the project beyond our expectations in turning a great design into a beautiful home.”

“Professional, organised, efficient, trustworthy (we just gave them a key and let them get on with it) and genuinely pleasant, helpful people to have do major work for you. They listen to you, work out solutions to turn your dream into reality (no matter how problematic) and provide excellent value for money. First-rate project management - getting plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, tilers and plasterers lined up to come in on time one after the other, they turned our worn-out, antiquated and quirky bathroom into something fit for a luxury hotel, more or less within the relatively short timescale quoted.”

“Right from the start I knew things were going to be highly professional. Will got back to me within 3 or 4 days with a quote on a sizeable project whereas a previous candidate had taken over two weeks. He was able to start within an acceptable time frame so off we went. Anyone who has dealt with builders will know all about sharp intakes of breath and phrases like " Well I don't know about that, It's going to be expensive". Will's greatest strength, apart from his enormous charm, is his ability so see and understand what the client wants and do his best to fulfil those wishes. Along the way I had to change a number of things, some of them quite major like taking out a chimney breast but none of this was a problem. I should add that he came up with many really good ideas himself which was an invaluable contribution to the wonderful end result. His initial estimate was not the cheapest of the three that I had but as they say " you get what you pay for" and I would say without any hesitation that I made the right decision. Another of Will's great assets is that he is always accessible and if he happened to be stuck up a ladder he would call me back. So many other builders never answer their phone or take days to get back to you. Fantastic job, a wonderful polite team who were very tidy and professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.”

“These guys are fantastic to work with and offer a very bespoke approach to everything they do. If you want to create something from scratch or copy something but with a twist then these guys are the people to work with. Note also that they install all their own creations which is key for the overall service! Very impressed!”

“Over ten years ago we employed Hawkers to replace all external windows and doors to our house and to supply new cabinets for the bathrooms. We were, and continue to be pleased with the quality of manufacture and installation. This year, we asked Hawkers to return for maintenance. - Only two units required significant adjustment, the rest of the maintenance was routine.”

“Design'd Living completely refitted our study, with new floor, cupboards, shelving and a custom desk fitted into a bay window. The quality of the work was exceptional & great attention was paid to the smallest of details. The oak veneered worktop was fitted perfectly to the bay, without the use of any sealant - particularly impressive. We have received numerous compliments from friends and other professionals. Design'd Living subsequently remodelled a section of our kitchen with new units that were indistinguishable from the existing, The walls were retiled and new eye-level appliances fitted. We would have no hesitation using them for other projects in our house.”

“Matthew and the team did a fabulous job of providing us the solution to our needs, Rustic chic i call it! a 3.6 m x 1.5m island (not possible in other materials) shuttered and poured in situe a choice of colours texture and finish we went for hand trowled matt henley buff as pictured. Has not yet failed to impress anyone who walks through the door, with 2 nearby neighbours planning the same for their own kitchens! The tops are sealed so spillages don't stain, and such a lovely surface to work on. This is by far the best value worktop that works and looks great. thanks Morris Designs cant recommend you highly enough, great communication too and pride in your work!”
