“I have worked with Barrett’s on several projects – one at our home in Naperville and another at our showroom in Geneva. The people at Barrett’s set them apart. The sales staff are more like trusted advisors who inform and guide you throughout the process and ultimately to the ideal solutions. The project managers and installation crew is expert and friendly. The Barrett’s team has a nice way of relating to those of us who are not savvy to the latest home technology and explain germane information in lay terms. “Trendsetters Custom Design, LLC was first introduced to me by a couple a year ago. They'd just bought a home with an unfinished basement. The husband is a sports fanatic! Trendsetters Custom Design came over and asked the couple how would they like their basement to look. What would the ideal basement be for them. Being a friend, I was able to see an unfinished basement turn into an amazing theatre room, game room, full bathroom and bar area. Truly amazing, but my interest was in having my kitchen upgraded. A co-worker had the same idea in mind so I referred her to Trendsetters. I didn't see before pictures of her kitchen, but she was so thrilled with the professionalism and the attention to detail that she invited a few of us over to see. After seeing my friends basement transformation and then my co-workers kitchen, I was sold! I finally contacted Trendsetters for myself. I wanted an upgrade, but wasn't quite sure of how I wanted it to look. The owner went an extra step by giving ideas and would even personally take his clients shopping around to make their home or room look amazing. “Avidia was extremely professional in all their work. I am still amazed at how simple it is to operate their Control 4 operating system. You literally have you the entire operation of your house in the palm of your hand. Whether it is Visual (Comcast, DirecTV, Netflix, Apple TV, Hulu, etc), Audio (radio, Sirrius, Pandora, Tidal, Apple, etc.), lighting both indoor and out, heating and a/c controls, and your alarm system, with only a few swipes of your finger you can adjust any setting anywhere in your house. You don't even need to be home! The wifi throughout the house, basement and back patio is fantastic. We no longer have dead areas. Obviously it is not an inexpensive system, and the more functions that are included, the higher the price tag, but everything works they way it was originally presented. After the original sticker shock, they work with you on ways to value engineer the system to maximize your budget with your end user experience. After the system was up and running there were a few kinks to iron out, but Avidia's response time was great. I would strongly recommend them to a friend.”
