“Great communication. Knowledgeable. Nice crew to work with. I had them on a major renovation of an old farmhouse. Floors were leveled. Major beams were installed. Complete replacement of electric service. Addition built. Entire inside of the house reframed and converted from double to single family home. Bill Shafer handled everything from permits and inspections to ordering and coordinating with all of the other trades. The site is not an easy one to work on with tight access and challenging location. Everyone that came to the project handled it well and did great work. This was the first project that I worked with Bill on. I made a lot of changes along the way and they rolled with me no problem. This house literally had some amount of everything done to it. Nothing about this house was straight or plumb or level. Everything had to be fit and worked into the old structure. They handled it with ease. The guys are very experienced and fast and talented. “I have dealt with many contractors over the past few years and I have been extremely disappointed - they either didn't show up/were 2 hours late, were completely unprofessional (cursing in front of me) or they never finished the work the were paid to do. Needless to say that I was very anxious about having to find a new contractor to put in our new kitchen. I found Freedom General Contracting by a recommendation from a friend. Leary, I decided to give them a call. I was very impressed by Steve's professional manner over the phone. He worked with my busy schedule and met me on a Sunday to look at the work I wanted to do and give me a quote. Steve's quote was right in line with the other 2 quotes I received, so the only thing I had to work with was the recommendation from my friend. I usually don't write reviews, but I felt that I needed to do this because I was so impressed with FGC! Firstly, they showed up on time (that's a huge bonus point right there), they finished the job in the time frame given and the best part is my absolutely stunning kitchen (just in time for Christmas). I honestly didn't think it would ever come out as good as it did (I am extremely picky, so my husband says). There were no surprises, no "That's gonna cost you more" and no belligerent men working in my home. It is so nice to finally work with a company who is so honest, reliable and does such amazing work! “Tom Hamburger and his experienced team are respectful, honest hard workers who I have had build a custom home, fully remodeled a kitchen and a bath in another home, and have had back time and again to do other jobs like replacing windows, doors, finding and fixing leaks in masonry and windows (not from his original work) and other smaller jobs. His is one of the few teams I feel comfortable with giving a key to and saying "work at will," even with no one home. They take preventive measures to protect the work area, and clean up at every completion along the way (to me, a sign of care, respect for the homeowner, safety and just being meticulous about their work). Tom builds solid, strong construction and does not cut corners. I have never had a problem with anything they have ever worked on, and I have been using them for over 14 years. Tom has helped with design work as well, and his experience helps greatly in working out details. His pricing is very fair - though at this point I wouldn't consider using anyone else, ever!!”

“My husband and I first met Frank and Kevin in 2003. Little did we realize it would become a ten (10) year working relationship and friendship. We have lost track of how many jobs they have done for us over the years, but here are a few: 10x12 Foyer Extension with Cathedral Ceiling (won Pocono Builders Association 2004 Builders Award for Additions - Residential under $50,000); Handicapped Master Bathroom and installed new floor and ceiling; paneled Great Room ceiling adding multiple framed beams; installed track lighting system in the kitchen area; added 12x12 screened in room; add a portico entrance and ramp; installed new roof with ice and snow barrier; winterized the screened in porch and added a Heat/Air Pump System; installed a 1/2 bathroom; added an interior doorway between the garage and workshop for easier access in the winter months; and the list goes on. Any home improvement jobs we consider, our first and only call is to Quality Building and Remodeling. For the Approximate Project Date I am inserting the last project which was the Winterizing of the Screened in Room. For the Project Cost I am choosing more than $100,000 due to multiple projects of the years.”
