“Brian and his crew replaced the gables on our two story house and raccoon proofed them for us. In addition, we had some large trees fall on to our roof and second floor deck. They fixed everything and made it better and stronger than it had been previously. The work and workers are extremely professional and quality oriented. We are extremely happy with the finished project and have hired them to do more work for us. Highly recommend.”

“Paul Johnson is a truly unique contractor. Besides doing excellent work, he goes way above and beyond in attending to the little details that make a remodeling job tolerable from the homeowner's standpoint. He communicates well, always detailing how the project is going, what has been done, what remains to be done and when it will be done. He lets you know when he will be on the job and when he will be leaving the job. His sub-contractors are reliable, very capable, and timely. Finally, Paul doesn't leave the job site at night until he has vacuumed and cleaned the site. We really appreciate his hard work and look forward to our next remodeling job with him.”

Christian has turned our cramped, inefficient 1930 kitchen into a more spacious, beautiful and useful space. Clever design details and skilled craftsmanship are always foremost when working with Christian and his team. We know we can count on them to creatively and cost efficiently tackle those unforeseen issues inherent in old house renovation. Their suggestions to fine tune the kitchen design details have added great value and utility to our original plan. “Haig Construction renovated our half bath. Our home was built in 1939 and we wanted the bath to keep in the character of the decade in which the house was built. We wanted a new low-flow toilet and the wash basin had to be replaced because the built-in faucet dripped and could not be repaired. In addition, the space is very tight with the door just clearing the wash basin. They worked with us to find a replacement sink from a reuse center with the same profile as our old sink and looked original to the home. They also helped us find a low-flow toilet looked vintage. The demolition and reconstruction was all completed within 5 business days and included installing a beautiful marble tile floor. They stand behind their work and respond very quickly to phone calls.”

“I am sincerely grateful that Ellis Builders was recommended by my dear friend. I hired him to install a dishwasher and do a few odds and ends. We discussed in advance that I wanted to do an overall needs assessment. Upon arrival, he deftly inspected my home and property and together we established a priority list. As a single person without handy-person skills, I get anxiety thinking about failing appliances, normal upkeep, plumbing and electrical issues. I now feel reassured that together we have a proactive plan and I’m not on my own trying to deal with problems reactively. Thank you, Ellis Builders!”

The price was fair, the project plan was great, contractor followed all of our specifications and made excellent recommendations when needed. Contractor was on time, excellent work, very experienced and are great people to work with. Project was on-time, on budget, great quality of work and very professional. “Steve came to our home and did a great and professional job. He installed two plugs in the kitchen. One of them had to be cut into the inch thick back splash. My wife was concerned about how this would turn out because you only get one chance to make it right. It was perfect and she was very excited to have the extra outlet for her kitchen. Steve also put in 4 ceiling lights and a switch in the basement. Overall we couldn't be more satisfied with the work. Anything we need done in the future Handy Hometown Services and Steve will be our first and only call.”
