“Shan is an exceptional craftsman and energy efficient builder. I was on a number of his jobs and his work was above and beyond the quality of anyone else in the area. I highly recommend Shan and would use his services if I was building. I was a supplier to Shan for a number of years of prefabricated building systems and materials. I visited most construction sites and Shan built some exceptional homes of complex design. Shan was always competent, very professional, detail oriented, and honest. My recommendation of Shan is honest and from the heart as I am no longer in the business. Harold Ruggles”

“Professional, skilled, creative, high quality, timely, and on budget are a few of the words I have used to describe my building experience with SImonson. Scott and his team really cared about getting the job done right. They asked for our input and got us involved in the selection and placement of Logs in the structural build of our home. Just what I had asked for! I was impressed with the creativity used, skill to put it all together and that they actually liked showing me how it was going to look when in place but before the logs ever went up. Also, they have continued to follow up on any questions I had. We used 3 different wood species in our home. They helped tie them all together. I highly recommend making sure your builder is using Simonson Log & Timber for Log or Timber work.”

“After viewing their model home during the parade of homes and liking the quality of that house, we decided to pursue having Finmark Construction build a new house for us. They were very good to work with in getting the design we wanted and a floor plan that would work for us. We had very few small problems arise during construction that were corrected immediately. They were very accommodating in making some slight changes as the construction progressed and we saw some things we wanted to alter. There was an excellent line of communication through all phases of design, layout and construction. We are very happy with the finished house and should we ever decide to build again, Finmark Construction would be our first choice. I really wanted to give them five stars for the overall project, but since we moved in it has been difficult to get the little things that need attention taken care of. I know they are in the middle of a very busy season and not the least bit upset about it.”

“This is a very high quality, skilled builder. They are easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable. But what may set them apart from other builders more than any other single attribute is their incredible honesty. They will stick closely to the original bid unless YOU request changes that impact the overall cost of the project. In other words, you will have no hidden cost "surprises" once you have awarded them the bid. We still feel very fortunate to have signed that initial contract with Robert W. Ross Building Contractor because we love our house. In fact, we were so impressed with the work they did in construction of our house and shop ten years ago that we have since hired them for four additional projects - one costing approximately $60,000 and three in the $7,000 to $15,000 range.”

“Our experience with TCG Montana was outstanding..... Our project, a messy remodel of an existing "charming" old cabin presented all the classic challenges you would expect to see in a homemade poorly constructed original building. Patience, innovation, and an eye on unique details were necessary skills to have which Cory Jones (project manager) and Ty Barrow (on site) definitely had. First and foremost both are very good guys, hard workers and honest.....As an "anal" architect I am well aware of the importance of working with people who can collaborate on a tough project as well as having a high level of craft/skill which Ty does. Many of the design moves I incorporated into the renovation were unique and not what you typically see in everyday construction...both Cory and Ty were enthusiastic about the ideas and wanted to make them better, often times their ideas improved something I was already thinking. I also very much appreciated their willingness to ask questions so they would get it right knowing I am somewhat insane about details. Cory was very transparent with hours spent (we used a Time and Materials cost approach) and always was willing to answer any billing questions I had. Again, a great experience, with a high level of quality on a very challenging project. I will be using them in the future..........”
