He was quick to respond no matter how I contacted him (email, text or phone call) and ready and able to solve any questions I had. He worked with us to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted and followed up to ensure we were happy with the progress and final product. We're extremely happy with the new addition to our home and spend all of our free time hanging out on it. Our only regret is that we didn't hire Xpand years ago!”

“We hired Steve to finish our basement and it turned out great. I had a lot of questions throughout the process and he was always willing to listen and answer questions. He also brought a lot of ideas for the project, including great ideas for a rustic bathroom, unique tile floors and shower and hidden crawlspace access. He also built a removable stairway railing that will make moving furniture into the basement very easy. We really wanted to utilize all of the space in the basement and Steve helped us create storage areas to maximize the finished area. Steve was great to work with and we are very happy with the basement.”

We replaced our brick fireplace with stone and every stone showroom sales person said “the fireplace will only be as good as your mason.” We wondered if ‘young’ Dave would be up for the task and he far exceeded our expectations. “Orfield's have done two remodeling projects for me. A complete kitchen remodel included a bump-out to add space to a small dysfunctional kitchen. I live in a historical area and they had to get the plans approved by the Historical Preservation committee since they involved changing the outside of the building. They do quality work and take care of all the details. The second project was a complete basement bathroom remodel. It involved removing a sump pump, installing a new shower, toilet and vanity. The tilework and detail around the wrap-around shower made what could have been a regular basement bathroom a bit more classy. I was very satisfied with both remodel projects and enjoyed working with Orfields and all their contractors.”

“We engaged Backstrom Remodeling for the complete remodel of our first floor, which included: - new kitchen - taking down walls - removing popcorn ceiling - all new flooring - new trim - new windows - multiple design adds and changes We absolutely love the result and wouldn't change a thing. Even though we went WAY over our original budget, it was because my husband and I made additions and changes throughout the project and we are SO happy that we did. Bryan would say, "I'll do whatever you want!" and then give us the cost impact so we could make an informed decision as to whether to proceed. He is meticulous in his craftsmanship and makes sure it's done right. One of the best things is his communication--I work from home and I'm a freak of a planner, so it was important to me to know what work was scheduled for the next couple of days. It was also important to me that the guys he brought into my home were polite and professional, and that I felt safe with them there. Hands down a fantastic team. After hearing horror stories from friends and families about contractors gone bad, it was a relief to work with Bryan--he offers great ideas, is very knowledgeable, fair, works hard, and is fun to be around. We are already hoping to have Bryan do our Phase 2 (upstairs), Phase 3 (bathrooms), and Phase 4 (deck)!”

“Jeff did a great job. He fixed a rotted sill and installed two sliding doors. The start was delayed because of two days bad weather but finished the job on time. Everything was cleaned up at the end of the days work. The doors look like they have always been there.”
