“We employed Manly Construction after friends recommended them. We wanted to undertake an extensive renovation and doubling in size of our house. We obtained one other quote, but the estimated pricing was too open. Gareth (Manly Construction) was honest about our budget and the possible areas of over runs in a reno of this size. We continued to live downstairs whilst the house was extended over 2 more floors, 2 bedrooms 3 bathrooms, new kitchen and flooring, and a complete new roof. The team from Manly were always respectable and flexible with a family of four (and an attention demanding dog) living on site, and we always felt totally comfortable around all of the team, which we had not experienced with our 2 other builds with different builders. The weather wasn't always kind, but they worked through and took care of the parts of the house not being renovated. We were a particularly fussy client, especially living on site and inspecting work daily. We finished pretty much on schedule and overspent by the amount we were warned we could at the beginning, We changed the plans and detail more than once and this was never an issue. All council inspections were passed first time including the final. We ended up selling and moving after about 12 months and received lots of praise for the finish and quality. We would highly recommend Gareth and his team from Manly construction, and if he'd have us, we would use him again!”
