“We worked with Hartley & Hill Design to completely renovate and redesign our kitchen last summer. They were fantastic and we cannot say enough about how wonderful they were. We met with them and described the concepts that we wanted (functional and classic, keeping in mind that we like to entertain, but we have small children and a busy family life). They put together the design and sat down with us to explain their ideas very thoroughly and also run through the budget. They came up with a fantastic design that we never would have thought possible, incorporating very creative ideas, while still keeping in mind our budget as well as our personal preferences. It was a very collaborative process, with us being as involved as we wanted to be, but not feeling like we had to manage a project; they expertly managed the project for us! All of the subcontractors they hired were first class. The renovation was very well organized, there was consistent open communication, any hiccups along the way (as will happen in any project this size) were managed smoothly and effectively. Needless to say, we are thrilled with the end result. We can't wait to use them again soon to redesign our dining room/living room area. We would highly recommend them!”

“We were referred to Jennifer Michael Design by our builder, knowing she came highly recommended. In the throes of construction, my husband and I could not have had more different tastes or hopes for our new home. Hands down, working with Jennifer was the one of the best decisions we ever made. She was able to listen attentively to both of us and translate the ideas into gorgeous and thoughtful designs. Her assistance with visual imagery, sourcing of options, and guidance throughout the design process was more than we could have hoped for. The result of her help is a home that we are proud to call ours. She combined the aesthetic that we were looking for with the function that a family needs for everyday life, working closely not only with us, but with our builder to insure even the smallest details were perfect. “Christie is knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with. She helped me choose paint colors, fabrics, sofas, coffee tables, lamps and more for my mid-century modern home. I wanted to keep it simple, but warm and colorful. Christie struck just the right chord. She also introduced me to sources for furnishings that I would not have known about on my own and saved me from costly mistakes and do-overs. As my apartment was a gut renovation, there were hundreds of decisions to be made and Brooke was there for all of them. I was able to be as involved or as hands off as my schedule allowed. The various technologies she uses really helped me to vet through many design options and understand what the final product would look like.
