We took advantage of the "house call" service -- for a fixed price we received a great deal of good advice and information on everything from the overall footprint of the space to the color of walls and furnishings. Our "house call" service was a process that involved several thorough and thoughtful conversations and face to face meetings, this is way more than a one shot consultation. In the end, we had a written report from Patti that summarized the concept and details we discussed and a good big picture idea for our project -- a huge help for us in starting out on this renovation!”

“So what do you do when you’re a non-resident co-op owner and you want to have what amounts to a complete restoration of your apartment? Why…you hire Debra Kling, of course! She was right there at the site whenever we needed someone to weigh in on a color choice or a subtle design change. The painters LISTENED to her and responded positively to her suggestions. And we were incredibly pleased with the final outcome. We first contacted Debra when we decided to have our co-op painted. We had always taken the safe route with sterile white walls, white ceilings, white trim, but this time we decided to walk on the wild side and bring some color into our surroundings. Since we didn’t trust our own judgment, we turned to an expert, Debra, to guide us through paint color selections and faux finishes. She also recommended a painting contractor who was truly remarkable and highly professional. Debra visited the site to assess the work that was being done and to verify the finishes and selections. She caught a couple of things that needed to be addressed before it was too late. But our relationship with Debra did not stop with the painting. We trusted her judgment so much that we relied on her design sense to guide us with window treatments, furniture arrangements, accessory selections, floor coverings, lighting, etc. She introduced us to her cadre of vendors who extended discounts to us and helped us achieve exactly the look we sought. We cannot say enough about Debra and how much skill and talent she brought to this massive project. In New York, one is often intimated by the array of choices and the concern about finding a contractor who is fair and honest. Unfortunately we’ve had bad experiences in the past, but this time we had Debra to make sure that everything went smoothly. She is worth her weight in gold. ”
