“Anna is a good listener, makes you feel very comfortable and easy to talk about ideas if you are unsure of what you wantand, at the same time adds her good ideas! The choice of colors, style and texture made my home exactly how I wanted, but I did not know how to get there. She has an easy going team of contractors that also works hard and on time. “Christie is knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with. She helped me choose paint colors, fabrics, sofas, coffee tables, lamps and more for my mid-century modern home. I wanted to keep it simple, but warm and colorful. Christie struck just the right chord. She also introduced me to sources for furnishings that I would not have known about on my own and saved me from costly mistakes and do-overs. If you can find the right designer, your home will come together more easily. I feel so lucky to have found Christie.”

“We worked with Hartley & Hill Design to completely renovate and redesign our kitchen last summer. They were fantastic and we cannot say enough about how wonderful they were. We met with them and described the concepts that we wanted (functional and classic, keeping in mind that we like to entertain, but we have small children and a busy family life). They put together the design and sat down with us to explain their ideas very thoroughly and also run through the budget. They came up with a fantastic design that we never would have thought possible, incorporating very creative ideas, while still keeping in mind our budget as well as our personal preferences. It was a very collaborative process, with us being as involved as we wanted to be, but not feeling like we had to manage a project; they expertly managed the project for us! All of the subcontractors they hired were first class. The renovation was very well organized, there was consistent open communication, any hiccups along the way (as will happen in any project this size) were managed smoothly and effectively. Needless to say, we are thrilled with the end result. We can't wait to use them again soon to redesign our dining room/living room area. We would highly recommend them!”

“Barbara has a masterful way with colors and textures. She can identify your desires and then turns those ideas into something truly imaginative and unique. Stays on top of the manufacturers so that your furniture or fabrics or rugs is delivered as soon as possible. She is genuine, honest to a fault, and generous with her time.”

“I called on Eclectic Design to design and install window treatments in my new office. I also asked them to arrange and hang wall art. The work was completed on time and on budget. The window treatments are just gorgeous and give my office an upscale and very professional look. Working with Laurene is wonderful experience. She consulted and collaborated with me through the entire process. In addition to being conscious of my budget, she really understands who I am as a person, as well as my business's brand. All of this is reflected in the final result. I couldn't be more pleased. My clients and other professional visitors to my office are impressed too! I highly recommend Eclectic Design Inc. for ANY interior design work, whether it's a personal home or commercial space. You will be as ecstatic as I am!”

“We used Danielli and her team to remodel a condominium. She handled every aspect of the job including the design, hiring the contractors, demolition and rebuild. We are very happy with the results. We now rent the unit out at a premium rent. Everyone who sees the place comments on how beautiful it is. I recommend Danielli for any project and intend to work with her again.”
Julians Interiors

“I highly recommend Julians Interiors for ANY design/decoration project. You will never be disappointed and I guarantee you will be thrilled with the results. The entire Julians team is professional, highly knowledgable and very creative. They have always met my deadlines and budgets and work well with all subcontractors. In fact I would say you should hire Julians before you are ready to decorate. On multiple projects of mine, Julians has worked with the main contractor/architect to make changes to plans and projects that made significant improvements to the overall design and function of the spaces. On one specific project in a guest house, I wanted to move a wall to make the room bigger. I was told that that wall couldn't be moved by the contractor. I brought in Julians to work with the contractor and Julie herself was able to explain to the contractor how to move the wall and solve the design problems this would create. The end result looked amazing. Julie is able to work with the most ornery contractor to make changes that improve the design and convince him that he made a good decision! She is magic! The money you spend hiring the professionals at Julians is worth every cent. There is so much creative energy that is spent on every design that you will be amazed how much attention you get. Julians is now decorating my third home. I would never use any other designer. My homes are completely different: New England center-hall colonial, 250 year-old farmhouse with separate buildings and a beach house on the water. The designs are completely different and all amazing. Projects Julians has done for me range from simple kitchen, bathroom and room updates, to complete kitchen rip out and redesign and gutting a 200 year-old cottage and rebuilding/redesigning it with only the original beams and fireplace standing. My only advice is TRUST Julie's design decisions. You will not be disappointed. If she says it will good great and is the right thing to do, it will look AMAZING and you will LOVE it.”

“I first hired Kirsten in Aug. 2008 to redecorate two bedrooms. Since then, she has gone on to redo all the rooms in my house (some of which can be seen on her web site and on houzz). After almost four years,we are the last room, the library. Kirsten turned a dark and dated house into a delightful and comfortable home. When we started I thought I knew how I wanted the place to feel but not how it should look to get that way. From our first meeting, Kirsten patiently and carefully listened. She gracefully accepted that I wanted to shop at vintage and antique stores and wanted to be more hands on than most customers, but she was always gently in control of the process. It is impossible to talk about details since the job entailed completely redoing six rooms (including the kitchen) and two baths. Kirsten does fabulous work for a fair price and always puts the customer's interests first. She is beloved by the trades people she works with because she is kind and very nice, but she really gets the job done. My only regret is that I have run out of rooms for her to work on. If you live in Connecticut, and you need a designer, hire this woman. You will be very happy.”
