“When we built our home on the Wye River in Talbot County, MD 12 years ago, we knew we wanted a large, comfortable master bedroom. Well, we got large and all the architectural components to make it wonderful---fabulous fireplace, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water, & custom millwork. What we never got around to was comfortable. Our bedroom ended up being the place where all the old furniture---and a treadmill---went to die. Not a happy picture. Enter designers Amanda Friend & Jamie Merida from Bountiful. After clearing out the debris and keeping the pine antiques we loved, the pair created an oasis that we truly enjoy being in at all times of the day. We added a couch, and upholstered bed and two upholstered, swivel chairs that allow us to alternately enjoy the view, the fireplace, and the TV. Color cues came from the blues and greens outside our windows. A friend calls the result "study in blue." I find that it just makes me smile. I've always been horrible at choosing fabrics. This is where Bountiful really came through. When I fell in love with a chair fabric I was afraid was a little too lively, they showed me how to make it work by pairing it with "tamer" fabric on the couch & bed. Finally, after 12 years of living with the leftovers, we have the bedroom we wanted all along.”

“Mindy is amazingly talented. She has put together rooms for me that I couldn't imagine myself. She works with you to understand what you really like and incorporates that into her design recommendations. She doesn't try to make her personal design esthetic yours. I have worked with her to design my dining room, great room, bedrooms and even my deck. She helped me choose colors for all of the rooms in my home as well as my home exterior. She is truly amazing... not only her interior design work, but she is caring and thoughtful and a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely recommend Mindy.”

“I came to Leslie with a big vision for our living room and a strict budget! I wanted help making a plan I could gradually work on. We chatted about the function of the room, things I loved (and hated), and she came up with several different options - all within my budget! She suggested re-organizing the furniture, which made a huge visual and functional difference. A few statement pieces and furniture re-organization completely changed look of the room! Thanks Leslie! After nine years, I finally love this space!”

“I had the best experience with Bartlett Studio . They had beautiful fabrics and trimmings to work with . They worked on upholstery , slip overs and pillows . We worked on living room furniture , dining room chairs and den pieces . Some of the pieces were antiques that we found in our barn . Some where pieces that just needed new material . All the pieces look amazing now . Great attention to detail .”

“I have worked with Island Furniture for years on many projects including a home office, window treatments for most of our home, new dining room furniture, more than several pieces of upholstered furniture, lamps, occasional tables and so on. I am not one to just turn over a project to a decorator. I like to be involved and they are easy to work with. They listen well. They are more than capable of taking a project from start to finish. If there is a problem with anything they will work with you to get it resolved. I would highly recommend them.”

“Atelier 11 Architecture worked with Julie Sweeney of Coastal Haven on the 2012 Designer Showcase home designed by Atelier 11. Coastal Haven did an amazing transformation of the home's dining room space, creating a banquet with large table and comfy bench seats and taking advantage of the large window in the dining room. A cozy seating area around the fireplace completed the inviting effect. We look forward to collaborating with Coastal Haven on future projects.”

“Elizabeth Kelly, of Sanctuary Interiors, assisted in the design and selection of materials for 2 bathrooms for my 1920's bungalow renovation. She "found' additional square footage for our tiny on-suite bath that gave us a large walk in shower and built in storage closet. She also guided us through the design of a tricky Jack and Jill bath for our new 2nd floor that offers a long soaking tub, a privacy wall for the potty and stained glass windows that bring natural light into an interior space. Elizabeth also guided us through the choice of materials to maximize our limited budget.”
