“I engaged Jodie Carter to help with a refresh of my 4 bedroom home. The key objective was to utilise the small spaces I had in the most effecient way. The response to my brief was 5 star. Jodie provided design layout options to review and discuss, along with recommendations of furniture and design pieces. We focused on a front sun room, living/ dining and back play room. “On working with Vivian on the Waterview House project, my family and I had concepts of what we wanted to achieve within the kitchen space, but no real decisions had been made other than the selection of appliances and layout when Vivian came on board. We really didn't know what materials or light fixtures we necessarily wanted to use. Vivian has a natural aptitude in facilitating and nurturing ideas/concepts into something tangible. The end product not only met our expectations, but truly took it to a place we didn't foresee. Vivian was great at putting together a colour palette that simply worked to the features of the kitchen. The assistance with selecting the light coloured paint for the walls complimented the open space, where the silver metallic feature wall in the bar area gave the space a striking industrial feel - this was further complimented with the selection of aluminium bar stools and lighting fixtures. At first we weren't sure if this industrial feel would work for us, but the combination of subtitle elements mixed with the warm inviting wood veneer along the kitchen island and bar really made it an inviting space and a pleasant surprise. Essentially, Vivian supplied us with options, beautifully thought-out options. This was exactly what we wanted, we didn't feel pressured to make a certain choice and it was very much a collaborative approach, which we appreciated. Vivian reminded us that whatever recommendations she made, our choices were at the end of the day ours and we had to love the space we were creating as we would be the ones left to enjoy it. I would without a doubt recommend Vivian to anyone; she was a pleasure to work with.”
