“My wife and I have used the interior design services of Allison Thibault (Kaleidoscope Design Studio) on several occasions and at different locations during the past 2-3 years. Our experience with her has consistently been excellent. She has provided space planning and furniture solutions that are far better than anything we could possibly have achieved on our own. She is very organized in her approach to design. Understanding our needs/wants as a client, she has provided multiple alternative design strategies, combined with her recommendations on how we should proceed. In every instance, the end result has been outstanding. We frequently receive compliments from friends and visitors to our homes and some of them have chosen to use Allison as well. We would strongly recommend Allison and plan to use her again in the near future. James McGarry”

“After removing the wall between our kitchen and living/dining room, I was overwhelmed with all the design and decorating decisions to be made. Janet helped enormously giving me great insight, helping with the details and giving alternatives I had never thought about. She helped with lighting choices, floor finishes, tiles and colour schemes by offering many choices and giving guidance for the final decision. Janet also let me know good places to shop to stay within my budget. Thanks Janet, I could not have done it without you”

“We worked with Parkyn Design on our new home build. Soon after our architectural plans were done, we got Tania Parkyn and her team involved in the process. This timing was paramount to them understanding our big vision. Three things stand out from our work with Parkyn Design. First, one of the biggest strengths Tania demonstrated was her ability to really listen and understand what we wanted. She really did hear everything we said: our ideas, our dreams, our likes, our dislikes. We saw proof of this in the end results when our home seemed to fit us like a glove. Second, Tania’s experience ensured that our home would be timeless, yet incredibly unique and personal to us. Because Parkyn Design is current with trends and ahead of the curve on what’s coming, we were introduced to new products and materials which made the choices for everything both practical and leading edge. Finally, as first time homebuilders, the process of building, designing and decorating a home can be very intimidating. Parkyn Design made this process fun and enjoyable. Tania and her team brought such excitement and passion to our job! Sometimes it was hard to tell who was more excited - them or us! Overall, this is a top-notch design studio. “We hired Aloe to help design and renovate the den in our condo. What a pleasure to work with Chloe, the designer for our project! She was well-prepared for the consultation during our initial phone call, and took the effort to fully understood what we wanted. She addressed all of our needs and questions, and proposed a plan that is within our budget. Throughout the renovation, she kept a constant line of communication with us to make sure we were aware of what was going on. The project was completed on time and we were very happy that she transformed our den from an empty and unused space into a beautiful guest bedroom with storage in which we very much enjoy spending time. We had some friends stay over in the renovated room, and they really liked it! We are so glad that we chose Aloe as our designer. We would definitely recommend their professionalism and expertise to our friends.”

“Recently I purchased my first apartment with my boyfriend. Because I had never decorated my own place before I was very confused with colour choices and on what wall each colour should be on. Lori was beyond the most helpful, patient and knowledgeable interior decorate I have ever come across. She explained to me how the sun can come in at certain angles making the colour choices I picked looking very different than the colour samples. Because of her she made our apartment feel like a home rather than a stepping stone till our next place. I couldn’t have done it without her help!”

From the placement of simple objects, to inventive upcycling, to colour selections, wallpaper choices, and picking the perfect materials - everything she touches is pure perfection. Karin helped me create a living room space that maximized furniture placement despite tricky walkthroughs and focal points. Simple suggestions yielded stellar results.
