“Vadzim was the perfect cabinetmaker. He made cabinets throughout our entire home -- new kitchen with new island, family room, living room, media room, custom children's hallway, bathroom vanity, custom mantle, laundry room, and kitchen table. He was also responsible for the finishing touches, such as the handrails on the stairs and the crown molding. He was very responsive and turned around requests quickly. He was thoughtful - in many cases more thoughtful than we were. He really helped us think through the uses of the cabinetry and made excellent suggestions for improvement that integrated the design of our whole home. For example he asked us to make the countertops thicker to ensure outlet plug strips were hidden. His designs were perfect and thoughtful, down to the fraction of an inch. He also crafted a custom table for us when we couldn't find a white oval table in the right dimensions. Even with all of this excellent attention to detail and responsiveness, he was considerate of our budget. For example we were able to re-use some old kitchen drawers with new faces, and he sent us a high-end and low-end set of hardware to choose from for a very large door. Vadzim takes great pride in his work and is truly an artist with an appreciation for functionality. The cabinetry is all beautiful and works perfectly - all of it. We will absolutely use him again for every custom cabinetry need we have in the future.”

The workers were there early every day and cleaned up at the end of the day. it took the amount of time they said it would. it was a really easeful renovation, with Betty showing me a countertop and cabinets and I loved it all. “Amy and Lewis have contributed immeasurably to the Character of my carefully crafted home. Although the remodel I undertook was substantially complete before their involvement, I quickly realized their potential for advancing my fingerprint on my custom home. Amy started early by linking up a perfect 10 year old (fully dried) chunk of redwood for installation as a mantle for my stone fireplace. (I had been searching for 9 months and she swiftly "rang the bell" linking me up with what turned out to be the perfect addition.) Lewis made the redwood chunk come to life with Amy's clever design of iron bands wrapped around opposite ends of the mantle with bold matching custom tacs of iron, giving the substantial piece the image of solidity and antiquity. Next, Amy started at the master bedroom, which I thought was largely complete before I met her. Wrong. She set out to design a wall unit made of knotty alder to match the dominant theme of "woody bedroom". The original idea was to hide the flat screen on one wall. This she developed into an entire unit that Lewis crafted in three pieces with mobile rolling doors to hide the screen when not in use flanked by shelves on either side, above which is a backlit artistic recess, all situated atop a table that houses eight disappearing drawers, a tie rack and hidden retractable laundry baskets. Fabulous upgrade from what I thought was a finished bedroom. I interact with this multipurpose design daily with great joy.”

“Chris did an amazing job of customizing our beloved 1950's built-in cabinet with a modern tv lift system. We gave him the difficult task of cramming the biggest tv we could find into a tiny, narrow cabinet. Then he encased the tv with a beautiful frame, which perfectly matches the original wood of the cabinet. He also updated the vintage speaker grill and thoughtfully repaired broken hinges. It was a very difficult project that required someone with strong technical skills, talent, and good taste. Chris is fast and affordable for the quality of work he produces. We will definitely be using Chris again for our kitchen and bathroom remodels, as well as some custom furniture pieces.”

Their Online catalog makes it easy for designers to browse available styles and sizes. They also offer an online design tool, which we don't use but is a great tool for customers who don't come with their own software. In addition to what's shown in their catalog Mod can also accommodate a great number of customization requests. Their clean lined cabinets are solidly built using American hardwood plywood and non toxic glues and finishes. In addition to a good selection of wood finishes in both Shaker Style and slab doors they also offer custom paint color finishes. Overall Mod's product really fills a hole in the market for projects that can't afford or don't require fully custom cabinetry but are looking for alternative and step up from Ikea or Craft Maid. I have worked with Mod Cabinetry on several projects so far and it has been a great experience every time. Both owner and staff are extremely knowledgeable and responsive and dedicated to the success of each project.”
