“I recently had my kitchen remodeled by Woodland Construction Group in Portland, Oregon. I am so thrilled with the results! They were able to take my outdated kitchen and transform it into a beautiful, functional space that has completely reimagined my living experience. I especially love the new kitchen cabinets, countertops, and backsplash, which give the space a modern and fresh look. I can not believe how great everything looks! The upgraded lighting they chose made a huge difference as well. This was one change that I did not realize would make such a big improvement to our kitchen. I am glad I listened to their advice on this one. I get so many compliments from my family on the pendant lights over the island. “The team at Master Builder did a great job and were extremely professional. We hired them to remodel our all our baths and kitchen. The work included new tile, new cabinets and new bathtub installation. The kitchen included new design with all things installed. They outsourced some of the plumbing but performed most of the work themselves. They are detail oriented and left a clean work area each evening. They used the garage for their shop throughout the remodel and it worked fine. They also bring a trailer with an impressive array of professional tools. Everyone listened to our questions and suggestions. They were fair about changes or mistakes which happens with any large jobs. My only recommendation is to get clear understanding of the type and frequency of communication you want to receive. I like emails answered in 24 hours and had to learn that isn't their style so if I didn't get a response in 48 I'd email back with an ETA for the response otherwise we were very happy. They were always prompt and arrived when scheduled. This is a great team to work with and I'm confident we'll have them do more work in the next few years.”

“Mountainwood Homes performed magic on our 1986 galley kitchen. On Joel's first visit, he saw what the other contractors missed: what we thought was a bearing wall was only holding up the balcony. Reducing the size of this underused space allowed expansion of the kitchen below and removal of an unnecessary hallway. The dated drop ceiling and recessed light panel were replaced with a vaulted ceiling and hanging track lighting. Even though the original attic space above the range had access to the roof, the hood was not vented. The old electric range had a downdraft that never worked well and a small oven. The new kitchen sports an island gas cooktop, overhead vent with a chimney extending up through the vaulted ceiling, and a 30" wall convection oven. Heather provided great design with granite, backsplash, paint, and fixtures. Cabinetry by Cutting Edge was a perfect fit. We also extended the hardwood flooring into the dining room. The Mountainwood team was flexible as changes were needed, finished the project on time and produced great results.”

“We hired Let's Remodel to do the flooring on our home remodel. They were on time, professional, and cleaned up after themselves throughout the project. I would highly recommend their services. Their craftsmanship was exceptional. We had some difficult tiles and angles that were tough to cut. They did a fantastic job.”

“Last fall, we took on our first remodel project (master bath) and hired Kathie Maughan to work with us on the project. While we had the choice of just having her do a design for us, we knew we wanted the added comfort of having her handle all the details, and had her manage the project as well. This was a really good decision. Kathie made sure we felt comfortable with every phase of the project and worked hard at correcting any issues that came up. She checked in almost every day and was always available to answer my questions (even on a Saturday at one point). But beyond the pleasure of working with Kathie, is the pleasure of working with her wonderfully conscientious crew. They answered questions, explained processes and were unfailingly friendly and courteous. This is a great bunch of people to have come into your home and leave a beautiful space behind. We are truly pleased with the results and will use Maughan Design again in the future.”

“We asked Lori for a consulation for a re-do of our tiny kitchen. We wanted it open, bright, and updated. She is so approachable and her ideas were so on target! She really listened to us, and curated choices down so they were manageable and easy for us to make decisions. Her taste is impeccable. If we were leaning in a wrong direction, she was always able to help us understand her reasoning and realize the "vision". For example, I wanted glass for the top cabinets, but she explained that taking the cabinetry all the way to the ceiling would make the room feel larger. Boy, was she right! Folks have actually asked us if we had our ceiling raised! We love our "new" kitchen, and receive extremely complimentary feedback from everyone. Lori was incredibly knowledgable and - bonus! she was fun to work with. She nailed it!”
