Kitchen Update Interior Design is Melbourne's Award Winning design studio. We are led by our Senior Designer Allan Aitken who has more than 35 years’ experience in all aspects of interior design, kitchen and bathroom design, manufacture, installation management and styling in both commercial and home renovation projects. Allan’s aesthetically pleasing, practical designs allow his clients to enjoy efficient, expedient use of space in all areas of cabinetry, whether in the study, office, studio, bedroom, laundry or bathroom. But, with Allan’s passion for cooking, it is in the kitchen where his well-honed eye for function and form is most evident in his designs. Full kitchen replacement in Brighton

We highly recommend Kitchen Update Interior Design for anyone wanting to bring new life into their kitchen. Alan’s meticulous attention to detail shows great results in his designs and in the important scheduling of all aspects of the project, including ordering and delivery of components and appliances and the availability of tradespeople. The tradies he engaged were all highly skilled and very pleasant to to deal with, an important factor when you can have these people in your home for several weeks. We were happy throughout the whole process and delighted with the finished product. Visitors to our home are full of compliments for the transformation that Kitchen Update has achieved.

Allan and his team helped us to create our dream kitchen. His design ideas and thorough understanding of the trades enabled us to visualise our dream kitchen and trust in the process. Allan project managed expertly from beginning to end. He helped us to keep the features of our Californian Bungalow yet suggesting ways to modernise the space. Alan is very enthusiastic and he runs a highly organised company. His coordination of the various trades was remarkable and there were no days when work was not taking place which resulted in the projected being completed on time despite set backs not of Alan’s making. When issues arrived outside Alan’s brief, he set about solving them immediately, where as a lesser firm would expect the client to do so. He has excellent rapport with his trades which sees them going the extra mile for him and client. I throughly recommend Alan’s firm to anyone who prefers to delegate project management, well worth the cost and the end result was amazing.
