When I moved into my 120 year-old terrace with its unloved South-facing garden, I didn't know where to start. I googled 'landscape-designers in my area' and I thank my lucky stars I found Kev. He understood what I was trying to achieve from our first meeting - architecturally and structurally interesting - instead of the usual buxus hedges you would typically see in terraces - but still remaining true to the period nature of the property. We had Kev at Inovasis design plan our garden. Our house is on a relatively small block and we wanted to really maximise the space. My husband and I made the recent decision to update of upper terrace and courtyard areas. After searching through the many landscape designers we decided to engage Kev based on his experience with small inner city courtyards and terraces. We were not disappointed. We’ve spoken to a couple of landscape designers but upon speaking with Kev, he was by far the most easiest to contact and the most structured. We have a rainwater tank in our yard and he was very knowledgeable on what plants and pavers to install to avoid damaging the tank. He was so helpful with our questions. I recently purchased a wonderful inner city apartment with stunning city views. It is in the heart of the city and while the view are commandingly urban and striking there was a lack of greenery; that essential element which brings warmth and texture needed by even the most committed urbanites. I knew I had to add plants and I knew I was appalling with them. I also knew I had vey strong ideas about what I wanted so the challenge was to find someone who could work with "me" and not impose their ideas on me. Someone referred me to Kev who owns Inovasis and the result can only be described as stunning. He spent time with me and quickly understood what I has imagined and conceived and then he produced an outcome which greatly exceeded my expectations or images. We are located in the inner South of Sydney and our home is on a sloping block with difficult access. We had great difficulty deciding what to do with the background but Inovasis were fantastic. Kev provided great advice on low maintenance plants and the design elements. We are extremely happy with the finished product and I absolutely love sitting in my backyard whereas previously we tended to avoid the area. His choice of plants was often inspired. He researched the South Australian climate thoroughly and his selections have really stood the test of time. We couldn't be happier with the work Inovasis did for us and we still frequently get compliments from visitors on how great our garden looks. 5/5 for Inovasis!

Kev helped us out with a very challenging space and we are delighted with the result. He was really good at working with us to establish our personal design brief, whilst also making excellent suggestions and offering concepts we hadn't considered but subsequently loved. Although the installation was completed whilst we were overseas, it was a smooth process and he did a great job keeping in contact with us and sending us updates. We approached Kev to design the gardens of our beach house in Goolwa. As the house is literally behind the sand dunes we had no idea what plants would survive the salt laden winds. As my husband and I are from different cultural backgrounds we wanted him to create spaces that reflected our individual tastes, was reminiscent of places we have travelled coupled with being sympathetic to the property location. During our consultation Kev recommended creating two quite different gardens – the front to draw inspiration from the beach, sand dunes and its native surrounds, and the rear to have a more tropical, lush feel that would create a completely different experience representing our travels overseas. When Kev presented the design plan to us, it was better than we ever imagined. We absolutely love the selection of plants recommended and the contemporary landscaping materials such as the rusted steel, raised curved garden beds to complement the wide variety of native flora for the front garden, and elements such as the outdoor shower for Tim after a surf and bath for myself to relax under the stars for the back garden. He also included extensive undercover decked outdoor living and dining area’s as we’re keen entertainers. He even managed to include stone paving and steps referrencing my grandmothers Portuguese bungalow in Kerala in South India into the design – a place I told him had a special place in my heart during our first meeting. I can’t wait to see his design come to fruition over the coming months and highly recommend Kev to anyone reading this!
