“McCue Design Group redid our entire backyard - from design to project management. We had an existing pool with a small, stamped concrete deck around it, and were looking to create an outdoor space to use and host all summer. The project was complicated by a sloping backyard, requiring multiple levels of patio and drainage. Initially, we hired the firm just to do drawings, not planning to pay a project manager. In addition to hearing us out on what we wanted and matching it perfectly in the design, they also added things that we didn't originally ask for but now couldn't be happier with (a pavilion, a grassy area behind the pool diving board, etc.). Once we iterated on the plans - no small feat given all the decisions on materials (all of which McCue facilitated) - we ultimately decided to hire them to project manage as well. We debated that decision, but are thrilled we made it. They coordinated all the service providers (electricians, landscapers, plumbers, masons, carpenters), got multiple quotes for each piece, and served as a knowledgeable litmus test on what was reasonable in terms of scope and cost for each subcontractor. Additionally, they stayed on top of everyone and made sure the project finished in the allotted time, actually finishing well ahead of schedule. This was a large, ambitious, expensive project, and we couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome and the services provided by Jodi and Matt at McCue Design Group!”

They completed a project this summer of planting 26 Arbor Vitae as a privacy hedge in our back yard, and we are very pleased with the results. “My daughter purchased a home in Painesville where the yard and landscaping had been seriously neglected for years, maybe decades. I called several contractors for quotes and they ranged from $1,300 to over $8,000 all for the same exact job. Jeremy from Sharp Edge came over and I immediately felt comfortable with him. He was knowledgable, professional, and took the time to write up a detailed, line-item proposal. After reviewing all the bids, his quote was about 1/3 of the highest bid. After accepting it, he stayed in contact and advised of their start date. When they did arrive, they had an army of guys with professional equipment and what was supposed to take 2 days, they finished in 9 hours, counting a break for lunch! Of course it helped that because of all the rain, they were not able to work on a couple of their bigger commercial jobs so extra manpower was avaialble. But all the guys actually seemed like they were eager to work and enjoyed what they did. They cleaned up when they were all done and now my daughter's house is one of the nicest on the street.
