“Aralia designed and built our small garden, transforming the ragged mish-mash of unplanned year-on-year additions into a more modern space with two water features and plenty of room to sit at various points to admire the planting and the design. Height is achieved through pleached hornbeams, black bamboo (which grows up rather than out) and a crab apple. The illusion of greater space in what is a small garden is provided by the rill and pond and pathways. Distinct planted areas now lead the eye to the flowers and plants. All completed with the minimum fuss and in good time.”

“Hillman Gardens transformed our garden, creating a a fantastic space for our family on what had previously been unusable and unappealing. Duncan replaced low quality concrete slabs and pebble on sloping land with a level patio of very attractive sandstone slabs. He enclosed the garden with a high quality timber fence that he made up himself as the width of standard panels could not be used. In addition to the patio a new canopy/porch was added to the front of our house. Duncan designed this and used high quality materials - the result was a functional and very attractive feature. We are very thrilled with the results! Duncan worked with us to find materials and solutions that fit our budget, and was professional and extremely helpful throughout.
