“Fronds&Friends is owned by the lovely Eryn. She did a full cleanup and redesign of our balcony deck. Decked it out with new plants that would flower or change colours throughout the seasons so there is always something that stands out. She cleaned up after the work and we are just so pleased.”

“I hired Take Root Gardens in March of 2014 for a total overhaul of our modest Vancouver backyard. Not only was the execution flawless, they added a lot of value in the design and planning stage, with some great suggestions that worked out really well. During the actual work, they were always right on time, took very good care of our property during the work, and cleaned up spotlessly, even going so far as to powerwash our deck, which was not part of the project. What stood out the most, was how much care they took, and how detail oriented they were. The overall quote was very reasonable, and they came in right on budget and on time. I would hire Ty & Matt again in a second and highly recommend them.”

“Hazel was a delight to deal with right from our very first telephone conversation. She met with us at our home and together we talked about all the hopes my husband and I had for our tiny backyard. Because of her great depth of knowledge, Hazel was able to help us hone in on certain things and educate us on what would and wouldn't be possible, saving us a lot of time, energy and money. Hazel created a beautiful plan that not only gave us a great "visual" of what our future yard would look like, but she also provided us with a a detailed lighting plan, materials list and a comprehensive list of plants to purchase. We were also able to get recommendations for tradespeople and where to buy the best plants. Hazel far exceeded our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her!”

“We have worked with Mary for a while now and she does great work. She is very customer orientated, she shows up on time and stays until the job is done. It's not very often you find designers willing to get their hands dirty, but I continuously see Mary working in the dirt oftentimes weeding gardens that weren't part of the job. We know that whenever she calls us the job is going to be organized, well run and with happy customers. We recommend her highly.”

“We initially hired TKL-Design to do our garden in Crescent Beach BC in the form of a traditional English Perennial Style. He truly transformed the garden into a story-book with an inviting winding stone pathway meandering through beautiful gardens of flowers, shrubs and trees . It doesn't matter where you stand in the garden - the small as well as the large is exquisite and consistent. We are now building a new contemporary home in White Rock BC and once again have turned to Thomas Kyle - principal designer and owner of TKL-Design, for the landscaping. His ideas so far are perfect for the sight and our lifestyle. We are very impressed by his bold creativity, yet he knows when to hold back for the full impact as well. He is a true professional with all the knowledge of the trade. Both our architect as well as our builder couldn't be happier with our choice of using TKL-Design.”

She took the time and care to listen to me and to work with me not only in the creation of my 1/3 acre garden but also in the selection of colors and furnishings in the interior of my home. In every aspect she has created a living space for me, which is peaceful and inspiring, comfortable and uplifting - a home, an oasis, a sanctuary. People love working with Lorraine because her vision is clear, her direction is specific and precise, and her appreciation is generous, encouraging, and inclusive. My garden has been photographed for Canadian Living Magazine and photos of the interior have been shown in several local publications. I am grateful to Lorraine each and every day. “We had seen several examples of Larry Myers' work and knew that his clients were thrilled with the results, so we hired Alfresco Living Design to design and landscape our city property to provide privacy while at the same time making it an airy and beautiful space. He succeeded brilliantly. He makes it all work for several important reasons that earn him a five star rating: 1. He has an outstanding sense of design, offering truly unique concepts that are refreshing and tasteful. 2. He knows what trees and plants to use not just for how they will look but also how they will react to site specific weather and soil conditions. 3. He worked with us to really understand what was wanted and then to our delight exceeded our expectations. 4. He respects a budget (you can always do more, spend more) finding innovative ways to get the best results for the buck. 5. He is a great listener and a thoughtful, considerate and humble person who doesn't let his prodigious talent turn into ego. And a bonus; if needed, he can design and fabricate supporting structures in wood, concrete or other material as part of the design process as he did for us. Larry Myers and Alfresco Living Design well deserve a five star rating.”

“Completed my backyard project in 2019 with the assistance of Taylor. The project included custom built BBQ, gardens, lighting and stonescaped areas. I appreciated the flawless way the project was handled. Taylor provided expertise in design, material selection, project budget and timelines. What I appreciated most was being able to see, through the design stage, what my backyard would ultimately look like. Taylor designed a beautiful backyard, which I am able to enjoy throughout the year.”

“I hired Ryan threw a recommendation from Houston Landscapes who I hired threw Houzz to do some basalt stone work on my home. Jeremy from Houston Landscapes felt the project needed a eye for some new and fresh ideas for the ocean side of my home. We both met with Ryan who was an absolute pleasure to deal with and after our first consultation my wife and I decided to hire Ryan to get a new vision on the ocean side yard. Very shortly after Ryan came up with a few concepts that we then chose one from and he rendered drawings, exact depths, measurement and then a final 3D version. The end result of his vision was truly amazing. I would highly recommend Ryan and his company to anyone thinking of redoing any part of their homes, he is a true visionary and a great honest person to deal with.”
