Father Nature Landscapes of Tacoma, Inc.
Drought Tolerant Landscaping Services in Lakebay, WA
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars14 October 2013
“The initial project was to have a French drain installed to remove excess water from my property. I met with several contractors, some before and some after my appointment with Chris Sheer from Father Nature. Once I met Chris, I realized he set the benchmark for the other contractors to meet or exceed. I was very impressed by Chris for several reasons: he stood out as a knowledgeable professional who provided me with the information I need to make an informed decision; he was very thorough and prompt in responding to my questions about the installation process and material selection; and he always showed up on time for every appointment. I was so pleased with the customer service and quality of work I received from Chris and his team that I increased my initial project from installing a French drain to include a large patio extension, an extensive seating wall, and a flagstone walkway. If you have the pleasure of working with Chris and his team, you will find incredible customer service and quality workmanship. I can only describe it as the “Nordstrom Experience” for your landscape.”

“We hired Margaret of Hayes Landscape Design Services last year to draft up new landscape plans for both our front and back yard. Margaret was amazing! Not only did her designs exceed our expectations, but the thought and care she put into the entire process went above and beyond our expectations. She listened to my needs and wants and incorporated low-maintenance native plants, color, evergreens for year-round interest, layers, patterns, and functional areas for our family and kids to enjoy for years to come. I really appreciated that she also referred me to several nurseries and other contractors to purchase plants, install drip systems and pour concrete. I would hire Margaret 100 times over. The hard part will be to put her plans to use, and we just may hire her for that, too!”
Room to Grow Designs

“If you are familiar with residential developments known for stacking as many homes as possible onto a small parcel of land... this review is for you. Downsizing landed us in one of those developments. Located at the bottom of a hill with three homes looking directly onto our patio, we had absolutely no privacy. Ken, our landscape designer from Room to Grow, changed our yard from a rectangle piece of grass into a stunning sanctuary of privacy. Ken's resourcefulness proved invaluable as he managed sub-contractors and post-pandemic glitches in availability of materials. He committed to a timeline, and stuck to it. By weaving together several gardens, placing strategic screens which provided the necessary focal points, he was able to design gardens with year-round interest, color, movement and texture throughout. It is beautiful! Room to Grow has proven to be trustworthy, dependable and creative. I have recommended them to our family and friends. Such a stellar business!”

Erin Lau Landscape Design- Seattle

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars10 December 2012
“Erin completely redesigned and installed our front garden and did an excellent and artistic job. We had an old-fashioned front yard with grass, which needed lots of water and weeding. She redesigned and sculpted the front to remove the grass, add sustainable and lovely plants, which have saved us lots of money on water bills and also made our front yard more attractive. We've received many compliments from neighbors and plan to use her services in the future - for our back yard. Erin is professional, skilled and was a pleasure to work with throughout the project.”

“Shannon Grina, principal of Grina Landscape design, is a supremely talented landscape designer. She designs for her clients, not her portfolio, as she carefully considers how clients want to enjoy their yards, their budget requirements, and the environmental needs of the landscape. She will design a space that is beautiful and sustainable, and, is available for guidance and coaching along the way. I found Shannon to be professional, responsive and easy to work with. I am so happy with my redesigned yard. It brings me so much pleasure. I highly recommend Shannon if you want to have a beautiful, usable yard.”

“We are in the middle of a project with Peter and Dea of Aurora Florialis, and we couldn't be more pleased. They are incredibly knowledgeable about both hardscaping and landscaping - and they use their expertise to help you realize the vision for your yard in the best possible way. We look forward to every meeting we have with Peter and Dea because they are able to take our ideas and mold them into an even more beautiful landscape plan. Further, they have been awesome with the practical side of our project. They have a well-trained team, are able to work within a given budget, and can break a project into a number of phases to accommodate that budget. Speaking of phases, we have just completed Phase 1 of our project on Bainbridge Island, and are so psyched. We hope to add photos to this review as the work continues.”

“Although we were part way into a project, far enough to recognize how much we needed help, Susan came along side of us and provided outstanding counsel with great value. She helped us answer many of the questions, decide between options, and provided new ideas that really enhanced our design. Then with minimal extra cost, she provided a really useful concept drawing that sketched out a landscaping plan along with plant recommendations for a backyard with complex features. She also provided us with useful vendor links for plants, furniture, and landscaping structures.”
