He took time to understand what we wanted then provided us with a number of a different options so that we can articulate what best suited our requirements. The plot is not a straightforward plot and required creativity of design. After the design was crystallising he then helped us select the right contractor to deliver the scheme. The works were extensive and we were very pleased with the outcome at the time and continue to be so as time has pased and the garden has matured and evolved. Additionally, Robert is really eay to get on with and does not impose his ideas but, instead, works with you to realise your own. Colleagues of mine have also used Robert's services. The end result looks completely different from our garden so it is clear that Robert does provide all his clients with an unique and bespoke service.”

“A year ago, the garden at our new home was a neglected and overgrown mess, and far beyond my capabilities to bring it back to life. I had found North Leeds Garden Design on a website before we moved to Leeds, and it seemed to offer the sort of services that we were looking for. I asked Sarah Johnson to come and look at the project, and we had further site meetings before she produced a detailed plan for the restoration of the garden. I was particularly pleased that this turned out to be the style of garden that we had discussed with Sarah and not something that she wanted to impose on us. The works included new fencing and the grinding out of shrubs' roots. This part of the project was ably managed by Sarah's husband, George, who runs his own garden maintenance company. “We initially approached Garden Designer Matt Haddon early in 2013 when our house was in the early stages of construction. He very carefully listened to our brief and gave us initial outlying designs, measuring, taking soil samples etc. We had thought that we would use his expertise to plan, design, and layout the new garden (we'd do the work) but we found him so knowledgeable, and amenable that we asked him to do the work for us. The planting is exquisite, we back onto open countryside and we wanted to have an extension of the country feel, making it a haven for birds, bees and nectar loving insects. Matt has done just that, our garden is full of colour, contrast, fruit and all manner of wonderful plants and tress - all carefully chosen for our soil type and aspect. Matt planned the garden with interest all year round and came back in October of this year to finalise next years spring bulbs. I cannot recommend Matt highly enough, our garden has been an investment and wonderful complement to our house. Matt has even left us with a comprehensive plant care plan, so that we know how to care for the plants he has chosen, now whilst we are not amateur gardeners, it is helpful to know sometimes if a particular plant or shrub needs cutting back hard in October or March! “Dominic Stone of Bottle Kiln Design first provided a garden design and install contract at my previous property Old Engine Farm, Ashover Derbyshire in the early 1980's. I moved to Derry House, Matlock in 1997. I again sought Dominic out to provide a complete garden design and install, first in the late 1990's and again a more recently to refresh the original scheme with new paving to rear areas and to pave the original tarmac drive plus to lay significant surface water drainage channels and pipes.
