It include a stone paver walkway with grass surround, stone columns, extended natural stone patio work, an outdoor kitchen, oversized substantial pergola in cedar, innovative stonework for an outdoor built in hot tub look, and complicated and beautiful outdoor landscape lighting - all integrated with timers and existing home lighting. “We used Live Oak Manors for a complete overhaul of our back yard landscaping and hardscaping, including the installation of synthetic turf. The project was completed in December 2017 and we are extremely happy with the end result. What was once a muddy, sad excuse for a sloping back yard which only the dog set foot in is now a beautifully terraced level green backyard with clean landscaping that the whole family is enjoying. We worked directly with Garon Thelen, owner of Live Oak Manors, and found him and his entire team to be very professional. In addition to the backyard hardscaping and landscaping, we also used Live Oak Manors for the installation of an irrigation system in the front of the house which they were able to install in one day and are currently working with them to install exterior lighting. We asked John to design a yard that complemented the 1920's prairie style, and the result speaks for itself. The angles of the home are contrasted with the large decorative boulders and wavy long grass, and the home is surrounded by Japanese maples that provide color contrast. I am sure that John could explain all the nuance that comes together so beautifully, but for me it is just a job well done and a wonderful result. John also designed L-shaped raised bed gardens behind the home and planted a lush array of flowering plants that really make the home stand out. Thanks, John!”

“From the very first visit Marcia and her team took complete care of my project, listening to what input I had and realizing a joint vision for the space. Her landscape architect did a perfect job in the space, working in realtime to scope out the project and get my reactions. From there Marcia reviewed planting choices and hard surfaces. Touches like reusing a significant amount of brick from the original garden gave it a perfect blend of new and old. When it came to execution they managed to perform the entire proejct without entering my house - masterful given the 6' wall around the entire space. That level of care and attention to detail was indicative of their entire approach. I never lifted a finger or had to discuss lagging times lines. Nor was I asked to be there for any of the work. Masterful design combined with superb execution are Marcia's hallmarks. She and her team of designers, support staff and craftsmen are world class. They weeded, trimmed, replanted and checked and reset the irrigation system, and flushed and refilled the fountain.
