Their very talented landscape architects' designs are beautiful and they take the time to meet with you to determine the best plan for your specific area, tastes, lifestyle and budget. I really like the fact that they have their own nursery and you can walk their property with a professional to pick out just the right tree or shrub if you want. The trees they planted for us several years ago were amazing and continue to thrive providing us with beautiful shade in just the right spot. Most recently, we've cleared out a brush line and Poul's designed and installed new flowering bushes and perennials which have completely changed the look of our back yard.”

We were thrilled with beautiful design and the craftsmanship of installation. The plantings have thrived and after 10 years all the work remains intact.
Two years ago, we came back to Pete to have a patio put on the back of the house. This was all brick work and Pete's design was great and worked perfect with what was existing. We had some settling on the patio and Exterra was out immediately to fix it and it is great.
We love the work Pete has done with design and the guys doing the install were wonderful. We whole heartedly recommend Exterra designs.”

“Firstly, Don is a complete and utter gentleman, with real respect for the opinions and peccadilloes of the people he's working for. We had a rather hideous concrete patio, basement level - pretty much just a grey slab with walls on all sides. It had the potential to be a great space, but we needed someone to help us get it done. I knew what i wanted, and drew up rudimentary plans. Don made some great suggestions to a)make it cheaper and b) make it more proportionally desirable, and he was spot on. He brought over a number of travertine and slate samples for me to look at, and was very accommodating with my fussy color desires! His team works like a well-oiled machine - they completed our new outdoor courtyard in less than 2 days! We absolutely love the space, and are SO happy with his work - he's a real craftsman, everything is so meticulously laid, and the hedges are perfect. Really can't recommend him more highly!”

Several years ago we hired the Martin John Company to design a new landscaping plan for our house. We met with Marty and shared our vision, our likes for different plant materials and also defined our budget. In a short period of time Marty presented a beautiful hand drawn plan of what he was suggesting for our property. We made a few tweaks and moved forward with the plan. Every piece of plant material had a purpose and was carefully chosen and over the years the property continues to look better as the plants and trees mature. They even incorporated landscaping lights into the design plan which we love.
To keep the beauty of what Martin John designed, we have hired them for our annual lawn service. From the spring clean up, fertilizing program and the weekly service, our yard looks amazing.
