“For the last few months, my wife and I were considering updating our yard. The idea originally was to freshen up the space with some plants and possibly do some hard-scape as well. We spoke to a couple of landscape contractors but truthfully weren't convinced. Sometime went by and a neighbor suggested to contact A&E Landscapes. This neighbor had had work done by them in the past and was very pleased with the workmanship and final product. I contacted them and spoke to a lady by the name of Ana. She was very pleasant and had a number of questions. We ended the call by agreeing to meet so she can have a better understanding of my wife and I ideas of the project. A day or so went by and we met. I was very surprise how Ana made me feel at ease. She was very detailed on her explanation and very resourceful with blue prints, pictures of current and past projects. Fast forward to now and I am happy to say that the vision my wife and I had for our backyard was met above and beyond! I couldn't say enough about this company. Well done, really.”

Endowed with oriental background with years of working experience in the west, Elaine has a very unique and artistic eye that I can rarely find in other designs's. Infused with her great taste, my yard turned into a piece of art work. Elaine kept the process clear and stayed communicative and responsive throughout the project. Before the project started, she collected my preference and listened patiently to my requests, and also shared her ideas and visions to me. With a deep understanding of her client's requests and a rich professional knowledge , she soon turned our discussion to a solid proposal, followed by high-quality and efficient labor work monitored by herself. “We used Willies' in 2013 to get our For Sale house in shape. Loved his work ethic some much we hired him to do a major project in the front and back yards of our new house. Big flagstone on concrete patio with a drystack retaining wall and built in cooking area with a large smoker and 18 inch Weber plus a lot of outdoor lighting and plants. Hired him a second and third time to do a new driveway and additional side concrete work. Roger and Sue E.”

Although they are staffed with experts at every level and have their own staff for each part of the project they are still small enough to provide a very personal level of service. “There are many Landscape company's and contractors out there. There are many good ones. But then there are the rare. The best of the best. The cream of the crop. They are not satisfied with just meeting their clients expectations They are compelled by their inner passion To exceed their clients expectations. It is always refreshing and motivating to witness this first hand. I have had the pleasure to watch this first hand working with Mike Hertzer , owner of Modern Landscape on a project In Palo Alto. His quality of workmanship. Communication, Follow through, and Delivery was excellent. He is a pleasure to work with fun watching his whole process. Especially working with the client and the Architect. His very respectful of both. His sense of good manorism , mutual respect, Humor when approbriate and needed adds to the project.
