“I had a fairly sizable project that redid all of the exterior of my property. Where I was starting from: The previous owners of the property put in a poorly implemented sprinkler system, didn't maintain it, and didn't add any top soil to the back yard before planting cheap grass. This lead to systemic issues with weeds, being unable to put in plants, shrubs, or even maintain a vast majority of the lawn. In addition, the front walkway from the driveway was cracked, narrow, and uneven. About the project: Completely remove all of the exterior lawn (front, sides, back), weeds, and debris. Widen the driveway the width of the foundation, and demo and replace the front walkway with a wider curved walkway. Add new sprinkler system including a drip line to all shrub and flower bed areas, and add top soil and grading with, lawn (sod), curbing, weed barrier, 3 trees, and 2 decorative retaining walls. Working with Modern Landscaping: They were great to work with, intelligent, and easy to talk to. Their knowledge spanned a considerable collection of actual past work experiences which give them real world examples to draw from when proposing ideas. The team members were polite, respectful, and cleaned up after themselves every day. They even priced matched a competitor on some of the work. As for the results, the images speak for themselves.”

“We have nothing but good words to say about Justin at Jayco who landscaped our backyard September and October 2016. He used the plans we had drawn by an architect and built our back yard with retaining walls, hardscaped patio and walkway at the back and the side of the house. He is meticulous about his work. This winter when I had to shovel snow off the pavers, the shovel never caught on a "rough edge". Amazingly level and truly flat. He put in sprinkler systems and wired the timers. He moved previously planted sod at our new house to plant the side walkway with grass thus saving us money. HIs work is top notch. I was very impressed with the precision and time he took to fit the stone pavers. And when he was finished building, he completely cleaned the sidewalk and street of all debris from cutting pavers. He powerwashed the street!! He was true to his word on every commitment that he made to us. I recommend him highly.”

“We hired Maggie Clark from Franz Witte Landscape Contracting to design and oversee the installation of a "simple" outdoor kitchen. The project turned out to be anything but simple! It involved redoing a brick stairway between an upper and lower patio area, removal and reinstallation of a large part of the lower sand set patio area, and organization and scheduling of multiple subcontractors including plumbing, granite installation, electrical, cabinet maker, etc. Maggie was extremely responsive throughout the entire project. I never had to wait more than a couple of hours for a response from her to any question I had. When the granite installation was not up to either of our expectations, she was quick to get this resolved with the granite installer at no additional cost to me. The result was a beautiful addition to our outdoor living area that we love to use! I would highly recommend Maggie and Franz Witte Landscape Contracting to anyone looking for "something special".”
