“My wife and I were looking to have an old wooden covered patio replaced with a new one. Joe from better place remodeling came out for a free estimate. He was very friendly and explained every step in great detail. There was a small mishap during demo that Joe took care of immediately. They increased the patio size to 14’ wide from our old 12’. Such a difference it makes to have outdoor living space to read, relax, and get away from the kids. Joe was constantly in touch and even made some changes for us on the fly. I would highly recommend Better Place Remodeling if your looking for a patio as well Joe H. San Marcos”

“I hired Marc and his team to take care of the landscape maintenance for our yard after we had completely redone our front and back yards. Marc was extremely responsive after we initially spoke and came by our house for a thorough discussion regarding his services and his thoughts on what we'd need to keep our yard healthy. Since that point, his teams have always been on time and hard working every week that they are here. In addition, Marc has provided some input on upkeep options that I can do on my own that would save our family on cost.”

“Darren and Ultrascape did an AMAZING job landscaping my new home which came with a dirt lot. I am extremely pleased now 2.5 years later that I did business with Darren and his crew for 2 reasons I will further explain: First, Darren is a highly artistic designer and his work is truly breathtaking. Others had very square and boring lines and didn't know how to strike the right balance between soft and hard scapes. Darren's work creates that perfect harmony that is picturesque and visitors will greatly admire. Second, Darren's crew does excellent and HIGH QUALITY work when it comes down to structural work, irrigation, electrical, and gas lines. I am an engineer by trade and kept a close eye on the day to day work and their work truly built my confidence in their work. I can honestly say they do things the right way and don't cut any corners. And that matters. They really do sweat the details. After a couple years, I don't have any cracks or issues, knock on wood. :) . Also, Darren stands behind his work and I know if I have an issue I can call him and he'll be here to help. TO conclude, I highly recommend Darren and Ultrascape to anyone who wants beautiful and quality landscaping. If I could go back in time I'd repeat everything with Darren and team.”

“I hired and her team to update the exterior of our house some construction on my home. Including landscaping and new containers for the plants. I was extremely pleased with the completed work. Patty delivered exactly what she said her team would do. It was completed on time and her time were professional and left the job site spotless at the end of everyday of work.”

“Carlos and his amazing team did a full remodel of our backyard including installation of a pool, deck, pergola, outdoor kitchen, fencing, retaining wall and more. It was our dream that we planned for a few years and Carlos and his team did an amazing job. I couldn't give Carlos and his team higher praises. They were incredibly professional, meticulous and even months after our project has been completed have made themselves available to help with any questions or concerns or fix any small detail that we can come up with. I've heard horror stories from many friends doing backyard renovations and I can honestly say that we had no issues. I would highly recommend Carlos and QS Construction for any exterior construction and landscaping needs.”

“Gravel to Gold took on a large hardscaping and landscaping project at our 1940s bungalow in Pacific Beach. The work entailed removal of many truckloads of old grass and debris, and much tedious prep work to lay the foundations of a successful planting plan, including irrigation, LED lighting, and specific "obscuring" objectives. GtoG was the designer and general contractor, with the concrete work sub-ed out to a trusted contractor with many decades of experience. The final product is beyond expectations and was completed in almost exactly the predicted time. GtoG even re-did some of the work that to me was perfect, but that did not meet their very high standards. In the end we paid what we were told the cost would be to within just a few percent (there are always surprises in work like this), but the accuracy with regard to budget and timing is the best I've ever encountered by a wide margin. We would definitely use GtoG again, and in fact we are on our new project, a much bigger remodel of a 1920s Spanish-style house. Highest recommendation.”
