We randomly decided to tile our outdoor area under pergola; my husband spoke to our tiler and I was panicking thinking we won’t have time to organise tiles. Thanks to Jacqueline she was on it to help us get the tiles we wanted so promptly. She matched them so perfectly to our inside living as if they were meant to be for us! Ready and prepared we organised delivery and got our goods in quick time! She is so friendly and knowledgeable- we were so grateful!!! Diana is warm, friendly, the total professional with a great eye for design . She takes great care to understand both your needs, individual taste and works within the budget. At no time did we feel she was trying to upsell or unload product on us. She developed a colour board for our apartment we could never have done ourselves. She seems to have unlimited energy and gives personally to every consult (and these are free!). The showroom has everything from large format modern tiles, tradition mosaics, handmade imports and natural stone. The moment we met Diana we knew we were in capable hands. I have used Design Tiles for all my renovations over the years, they have the latest products and amazing ranges, most importantly the customer service is fantastic, always had time to help, great ideas and advice. highly recommend to them to anyone.

Design Tiles make it clear up front that they don't deliver goods. However THEY recommended Pack & Send who delivered me 2 boxes of completely broken tiles, which wasted $366.00 of my hard-earned money. When I disputed it, they made it clear that they would stick to the legal principles of the matter instead of the ethical principles, which is related to the fact that THEY recommended a courier company who completely ruined my tiles. Based upon legal principles, they don't have to compensate me for my $366.00 or take responsibility for THEIR recommendation. However any reasonable person can see that their ethics and sense of proper and right customer service are clearly lacking. This was Design Tiles' response to me: Hello Michelle, “WITHOUT PREJUDICE" Thank you for your email in regards to having received your broken tiles. We have communicated with our storeman who handles and inspects all delivery’s in relation to our warehouse. We confirm that the tiles were not broken when they were received in our warehouse from the supplier , if the tiles were received broken from the warehouse systems are in place whereby we simply photograph the broken tiles on arrival and organise for a replacement at which point the supplier takes back the broken tiles, this was not the case as the tiles were received in perfect order. IT IS OUR PROCEDURE THAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT GOODS IF THEY ARE BROKEN When the two boxes of tiles were allocated for pickup by a courier who you arranged on the 24th of May from our Rockdale warehouse, our store-man confirms that the 2 boxes were not broken. Also they were not packed in the manner in which your images indicate. Also we confirm that we did not pack the two boxes and strap onto a timber crate as per your images. We do not have small timber crates for packing purposes neither do we have a packing strapping device. It is clear that the tiles were packed onto the crate at another location. The timber crate is broken in the centre as a result of some kind of impact which no doubt would have caused the tiles to also break. This must have occurred at the depot or in transit. The question of how they were unloaded at your end would also have to be asked and the manner of which it was unloaded and was it inspected and signed for and if so by whom at the receiving end? It is clear that the two boxes were damaged resulting in the subsequent breakage of tiles by Pack and Send. we strongly advise that you make a claim through warranty claims department at your earliest convenience. It is unfortunate that on this occasion that Pack and Send have not facilitated the safe transport of your goods but is in in fact clear that once the tiles leave our premises the liability transfers to the courier or transport agency. The Nikea tiles are currently out of stock and are due in at the warehouse on the 19th of June. Please do not hesitate in contacting our office in regards to the above (Their response) I have personally called pack and send and have spoken to management in regards to your delivery They have advised that they had also spoken to you today and that they have assured you that they are investigating your matter. Pack and send has advised us that you were offered insurance as part of there service but you had declined to pay to take out the insurance offered to you by pack and send when you personally had organised your delivery directly with them Pack and send was simply a recommendation We have used and recommended pack and send for our NSW , VIC and QLD clients 18months without incidence. At design tiles we have been established for 15 years and pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and will continue to do so. Although We sympathies with your situation we simply cannot compensate you simply because you chose not to take out insurance. (My response) Your answer very clearly still shows that you won't bear any responsibility for the fact that you made a recommendation. What I choose to do or not do is not atonement for what you've chosen to do - which is put ALL the ownice on the customer to bear the consequences of a decision that you led them to making. I might have made certain decisions but you led me towards them, yet I'm bearing all the responsibility. Whichever way you look at the minutia, the fact is that you made a recommendation and will take no responsibility for it.
