“We have had D & F for small and large projects, some expected, some not. They have always been on time, following up on work if we have questions, and respond promptly to calls. I would also say that they may be higher in price than some others, but it's because they pay their employees a living wage and benefits. This treatment of the employees was important to us, but it also seems to come out in how seriously the employees take their work.”

“We experienced a main water pipe break and flood in an over 100-year old building in downtown Portland that insurance wouldn't cover. So we needed a plumber who was competent in dealing with the challenging plumbing routes of an old building, as well as offer a reasonable budget. “I have used Standard Plumbing, off and on, for about 20 years. They recently went above and beyond what was necessary in repairing a frozen bathroom faucet handle. It turned out that the original installer had mis-threaded the handle and it corroded. They showed me exactly what had happened (so I knew it was not just Standard marking up a price.) a simple trip turned into two visits and replacement of all faucet parts. They arranged their schedule so they were here when I got the replacement parts, and charged me a very reasonable amount for the unexpected amount of work.”
